Manchester jihad mass murderer “devout” Muslim who learned Qur’an by heart

He learned the Qur’an by heart and his father is a pillar of the mosque. Yet somehow he succumbed to what Theresa May and so many other Western leaders have repeatedly characterized as an outrageous misunderstanding and hijacking of the true teachings of Islam. Why wasn’t the peaceful, benign Islam that Abedi supposedly imbibed at home and at his mosque, and from the Qur’an itself, not strong enough to withstand the appeal of this twisted version? Authorities never answer, or even seem to consider, such questions.

“Salman Ramadan Abedi named by police as Manchester Arena attacker,” by Ian Cobain, Frances Perraudin, Steven Morris, and Nazia Parveen, Guardian, May 23, 2017:

The man who murdered 22 people and injured 59 others has been named as Salman Ramadan Abedi, a Mancunian of Libyan descent.

Police confirmed the 22-year-old’s identity after officials in the United States passed it to news reporters, apparently against the wishes of the British police and security services.

Abedi was known to the security services but was not part of any active investigation or regarded as a high risk. He was viewed as a peripheral figure in much the same way as the Westminister attacker, Khalid Masood.

The police and security services are trying to establish whether he worked alone or was part of a wider network that helped him with the bomb. Although Islamic State has claimed responsibility, the police have found no evidence to support this.

Even before Abedi was named, several members of south Manchester’s Libyan community wondered whether the suicide bomber was one of their own: perhaps one of the young men who had fought in Libya during the 2011 revolution, some of whom came home traumatised and angry.

But none appear to have suspected that British-born Abedi – a slightly withdrawn, devout young man, always respectful to his elders – would become a mass murderer.

“Salman? I’m astonished by this,” one member of Manchester’s Libyan community told the Guardian. “He was such a quiet boy, always very respectful towards me. His brother Ismail is outgoing, but Salman was very quiet. He is such an unlikely person to have done this.”

Salman and his brother Ismail worshipped at Didsbury mosque, where their father, who is known as Abu Ismail within the community, is a well-known figure. “He used to do the five and call the adhan. He has an absolutely beautiful voice. And his boys learned the Qur’an by heart.

“Abu Ismail will be terribly distraught. He was always very confrontational with jihadi ideology, and this Isis thing isn’t even jihad, it’s criminality. The family will be devastated.”

Abu Ismail Abedi, who worked as an odd-job man in Manchester, is thought to be in Tripoli. His wife, Samia, is thought to be in Manchester. The couple are believed to have another son, Hashem, and a daughter, Jomana.

“Abu Ismail comes and goes between here and there,” the family friend said. “I can’t believe [Salman Abedi] would have been radicalised in Tripoli. All those types have been driven out of the city. It must have happened here.

“But what was he doing, murdering all those people. There must have been somebody influencing him. It’s terrible. He was off his head.”

But others had a different recollection. Mohammed Saeed, a senior figure of Didsbury Mosque and Islamic Centre, said Salman Abedi had looked at him “with hate” after he gave a sermon criticising Isis and Ansar al-Sharia in Libya.

Saeed said he gave a strong sermon against terrorism and about the sanctity of life in 2015. He said 2,000 members of the mosque were with him; a small number were not; and a few signed a petition criticising him.

“Salman showed me a face of hate after that sermon,” he said. “He was showing me hatred.”

Saeed said a friend was so worried that he got his adult children to sit beside Salman Abedi in case he was attacked by him….

Did he notify the police?

Trump switched “Islamist terror” to “Islamic terror” on purpose to defy State Department

EDITORS NOTE: This column originally appeared in the Geller Report.

Profile of an ‘evil loser in life’

President Donald J. Trump during his campaign used the term “radical Islamic terrorism.” Upon becoming the President he has now visited three nations that are the birth places to the world’s three major religions: Saudi Arabia (Mecca – Islam), Israel (Jerusalem – Judaism and Bethlehem – Christianity) and Rome, Italy (seat of the Bishop of Rome and leader of the Catholic Church).

CBS News and the Manchester police have confirmed that the man who blew himself up at an Ariana Grande concert in Manchester, England, was 23-year-old Salman Abedi, a Libyan Muslim, who was known to British authorities prior to the attack.

During his speech in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, President Trump rejected the basic tenant of Islam – martyrdom. It is prophetic that while in Bethlehem, the birth place of Jesus Christ, standing next to Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, President Trump said:

So many young, beautiful innocent people – living and enjoying their lives – murdered by evil losers in life.  I won’t call them monsters because they would like that term. I will call them losers from now on – because that is what they are – losers.

This is what I’ve spent these last few days talking about during my trip oversees – our society can have no tolerance for this continuation of bloodshed, we cannot stand a moment longer for the slaughter of innocent citizens.

The terrorists and extremists, and those who give them aid and comfort, must be driven out from our society forever. This wicked ideology must be obliterated, and innocent life must be protected.  All civilized nations must join together to protect human life and the sacred right of our citizens to live in safety and peace.

What is prophetic is that the Palestinian authority pays terrorists, and their families $140 million a year via a Palestinian Authority Martyrs Fund. Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu has lashed out at the Palestinians for paying families of suicide bombers.

President Trump’s first major speech overseas was in the heart of Islam, Saudi Arabia. While many will analyse the speech from various angles, I believe the most important sentence in the speech made by the President was:

If you choose the path of terror, your life will be empty, your life will be brief, and your soul will be condemned.

This one sentence denies the most basic tenant of Islam – martyrdom.

The followers of Mohammed believe that they must die in the ongoing holy war against the non-believers. The Quran (4:74) reads:

“Let those fight in the way of Allah who sell the life of this world for the other. Whoso fighteth in the way of Allah, be he slain or be he victorious, on him We shall bestow a vast reward.”

The only guaranteed way for a follower of Mohammed to enter paradise is to fight and die in the way of Allah – martyrdom.

President Trump understands this. The question is do other world leaders?

Why the British Terror Threat Will Not Improve Soon

What’s missing from the streets of France? WOMEN!

This is in France, of all places — once the epicenter of fashion, femmes and fou fou. No more. They French have been subsumed by Islamization.  The new France, allahu akbar!

This is what the left considers “progress,” “tolerance’ and diversity. Funny, those streets don’t look very diverse to me. Just men. Bringing the highlights and the lowlights of sharia like gender apartheid to the city of ever dimming lights.

WOMEN EXPELLED FROM STREETS IN CENTRAL PARIS, POLICE UNABLE TO RESTORE SAFETY

By Benjamin De Wolf, The Old Continent, May 19 2017:

WOMEN FROM THE CHAPELLE-PAJOL DISTRICT (NOT THE BANLIEUE, BUT RIGHT IN THE CENTRE OF PARIS, CLOSE TO GARE DU NORD, THE SACRÉ-COEUR, MONTMARTRE AND THE MOULIN ROUGE) ARE NO LONGER VISIBLE ON ITS STREETS AND SQUARES, THEY ARE ABSENT FROM ITS METRO STATIONS, AND THEY ARE NO LONGER WELCOME IN ITS CAFES, BARS AND RESTAURANTS. THE DISTRICT IS TAKEN OVER BY GROUPS OF MEN, DRUG DEALERS AND MIGRANTS, WHO HARASS OR INSULT EVERY FEMALE THEY ENCOUNTER.

Newspaper Le Parisien reported this week on the structural misogyny inside the French capital.

Three women were interviewed by Le Parisien.

Nathalie (50) states:

“We are treated unbearably (…) there are insults and the atmosphere is agonising to the point that we are forced to change our clothes. A while ago I would go out on the streets at night, these days, such a thing is unthinkable.”

Aurélie (38), admits she no longer recognises the district where she lived for 15 years:

“The simple freedoms of moving around has become problematic. The cafe downstairs, a bistro once friendly, has turned into an exclusively male den and is constantly crowded. They drink a lot, so I continuously receive insults when I pass by. I, therefore, lock myself in my apartment.”

Laure now completely avoids the Chapelle metro station:

“Recently, I was caught in the middle of a brawl of dealers. I screamed, and two of them took out knives to threaten me. I thought my last hour had struck. Also, it’s been months since my 12-year-old daughter went to school alone, nor anywhere else in the neighbourhood, actually.”

The women of La Chapelle know that filing a complaint has little effect. And although the police are aware of the situation and have made 884(!) arrests since January, they still do not patrol the district permanently. Therefore the women of the district are ‘sounding the alarm’, and have launched a petition to move the mayor and the police to act accordingly.

Muslim migrants behind 9 of 10 shootings in Sweden

Democrats are working furiously to bring this pox on humanity here.

Europe has strict gun control laws. But that has never stopped criminals, jihadis or terrorists from getting their claws on them.

IMMIGRANTS BEHIND 9 OF 10 SHOOTINGS IN SWEDEN

FriaTider, May 20, 2017 (thanks to The Religion of Peace):

Domestic.Young men with immigrant background are behind almost all murder and assassination attempts by firearms. It shows a recent survey from DN. Most of them originate in the Middle East and North Africa. Not one is Finns, although it is a large immigrant group in Sweden.

The DN survey includes 53 sentenced and 47 suspects in investigations regarding general shooting since 2013.

Most are born in the 90’s and many live at home with their parents. The use of cannabis is common.

Out of 100 people involved in assassination and murder attempts where firearms were used, 90 people have at least one foreign-born parent, according to DN’s review.

One possible explanation is “variations over time in the part of the population who have a foreign background”, writes DN.

The vast majority of men, around 80 percent, have their roots in the Middle East and northern Africa. Most come from Iraq, Iran, Lebanon, Turkey, Somalia and Eritrea.

Latin Americans only occur in three of the cases, people from the Balkans in five and Finns are not in anything, DN points out.

The newspaper explains the extreme overrepresentation with the lack of jobs, for example, writes that less than 30 percent of adult Somalis have a job.

Only 40 percent of men can be linked to organized crime where there is money to earn.

The DN also points out that the darkness is large and that the review does not include casualties with suspects abducted from the investigation.

“It is a fact that the phenomenon of street violence and violence occurs in some areas, and most of those living there have been foreigners,” says sociologist Amir Rostami at Stockholm University to the newspaper.

Linda Staaf, Head of the National Operational Department’s Intelligence Unit, says that the review shows a failed integration in Sweden and that it is a larger social issue for more authorities than her to handle.

She believes that there has been a negative development of society in areas where many immigrants live, and that these areas are increasingly isolated from other Swedish society.

DN’s review also shows that most victims of shooting, both killed and injured, are foreign men.

Tortured Muslim Child Marriage Victim Tied to Chair, Set on Fire, Dies

Child marriage is legal for Sri Lankan Muslims.

“[The Muslim child-wife] faced serious physical abuse and psychological trauma after the marriage and had reached out to a colleague a month ago asking for information in obtaining a divorce ….

Later it was learnt that she also went to the police who mediated and reconciled she and her husband and sent her back to him, despite grave danger of further abuse.

As numerous scholars on Islam have made clear: Few things are more abundantly attested in Islamic law than the permissibility of child marriage. Islamic tradition records that Muhammad’s favorite wife, Aisha, was six when Muhammad wedded her and nine when he consummated the marriage. Robert Spencer elucidates here:

“The Prophet wrote the (marriage contract) with Aisha while she was six years old and consummated his marriage with her while she was nine years old and she remained with him for nine years (i.e. till his death)” (Bukhari 7.62.88).

Another tradition has Aisha herself recount the scene:

The Prophet engaged me when I was a girl of six (years). We went to Medina and stayed at the home of Bani-al-Harith bin Khazraj. Then I got ill and my hair fell down. Later on my hair grew (again) and my mother, Um Ruman, came to me while I was playing in a swing with some of my girl friends. She called me, and I went to her, not knowing what she wanted to do to me. She caught me by the hand and made me stand at the door of the house. I was breathless then, and when my breathing became all right, she took some water and rubbed my face and head with it. Then she took me into the house. There in the house I saw some Ansari women who said, “Best wishes and Allah’s Blessing and a good luck.” Then she entrusted me to them and they prepared me (for the marriage). Unexpectedly Allah’s Apostle came to me in the forenoon and my mother handed me over to him, and at that time I was a girl of nine years of age. (Bukhari 5.58.234).

Muhammad was at this time fifty-four years old.

Marrying young girls was not all that unusual for its time, but because in Islam Muhammad is the supreme example of conduct (cf. Qur’an 33:21), he is considered exemplary in this unto today. And so in April 2011, the Bangladesh Mufti Fazlul Haque Amini declared that those trying to pass a law banning child marriage in that country were putting Muhammad in a bad light: “Banning child marriage will cause challenging the marriage of the holy prophet of Islam, [putting] the moral character of the prophet into controversy and challenge.” He added a threat: “Islam permits child marriage and it will not be tolerated if any ruler will ever try to touch this issue in the name of giving more rights to women.” The Mufti said that 200,000 jihadists were ready to sacrifice their lives for any law restricting child marriage.

Likewise the influential website Islamonline.com in December 2010 justified child marriage by invoking not only Muhammad’s example, but the Qur’an as well:

The Noble Qur’an has also mentioned the waiting period [i.e. for a divorced wife to remarry] for the wife who has not yet menstruated, saying: “And those who no longer expect menstruation among your women, if you doubt, then their period is three months, and [also for] those who have not menstruated” [Qur’an 65:4]. Since this is not negated later, we can take from this verse that it is permissible to have sexual intercourse with a prepubescent girl. The Qur’an is not like the books of jurisprudence which mention what the implications of things are, even if they are prohibited. It is true that the prophet entered into a marriage contract with A’isha when she was six years old, however he did not have sex with her until she was nine years old, according to al-Bukhari.

Other countries make Muhammad’s example the basis of their laws regarding the legal marriageable age for girls. Article 1041 of the Civil Code of the Islamic Republic of Iran states that girls can be engaged before the age of nine, and married at nine: “Marriage before puberty (nine full lunar years for girls) is prohibited. Marriage contracted before reaching puberty with the permission of the guardian is valid provided that the interests of the ward are duly observed.”

According to Amir Taheri in The Spirit of Allah: Khomeini and the Islamic Revolution (pp. 90-91), Iran’s Ayatollah Khomeini himself married a ten-year-old girl when he was twenty-eight. Khomeini called marriage to a prepubescent girl “a divine blessing,” and advised the faithful to give their own daughters away accordingly: “Do your best to ensure that your daughters do not see their first blood in your house.” When he took power in Iran, he lowered the legal marriageable age of girls to nine, in accord with Muhammad’s example.

TORTURED SRI LANKAN MUSLIM CHILD MARRIAGE VICTIM DIES, POLICE SOFT-PEDALS CAPTURE OF MURDEROUS HUSBAND

By Colombo Telegraph, May 21, 2017 (thanks to Religion of Peace):

SRI LANKAN MUSLIM CHILD MARRIAGE VICTIM, THAMEEM FATHEEMA SHARMILA HAS DIED LAST NIGHT AFTER BEING TIED TO A CHAIR, POURED OIL AND SET ON FIRE BY HER ABUSIVE HUSBAND LAST FRIDAY.

Activist had been calling the husband to be arrested so he can face justice in courts.

“The police is yet to arrest the husband who is accused of burning a 4 months pregnant teenager alive. It is actually a double homicide.” a spokeswoman of Women’s Action Network today told Colombo Telegraph.

Sharmila a young 18 year old Muslim girl was four months pregnant and lost her baby. She is also the young mother of a 7-month old baby.

She is also a victim of forced child marriage, which is legal for Sri Lankan Muslims. She was 16 years old when was taken to the Nallanthaluwa Kodi Palli Mosque in Munthal, Puttalam and forced to marry Mohamed Imran who was 22 years old. Marrying against her will, Sharmila did not know that Imran was already married twice before and she was his third wife. She never received a marriage certificate as the nikah was not registered by the men officiating the marriage ceremony.

Writing to Colombo Telegraph yesterday, Shreen Abdul Saroor, founder member of Mannar Women’s Development Federation and Women’s Action Network said: “She faced serious physical abuse and psychological trauma after the marriage and had reached out to a colleague a month ago asking for information in obtaining a divorce via the Quazi courts, but never came back again. Later it was learnt that she also went to the police who mediated and reconciled she and her husband and sent her back to him, despite grave danger of further abuse.

“After the attempted murder of his wife, Mohamed Imran took away their 7 month-old baby threatening her that if she reported the incident as being his fault that he would harm the baby as well. Sharmila in her moments of waking consciousness was concerned only about her baby. Fortunately the baby is now safe with other family members but Mohamed Imran is on the run from the police.”

“It is unbearable to see the young lives of Sri Lankan Muslim women being destroyed because of the lack of legal protection of their rights. Sharmila was both a victim of her husband but also a victim of the Muslim Marriage and Divorce Act (MMDA) and the Constitution, which does not (yet) protect her rights. What did this child do to deserve this fate? Was it her fault that she was born Muslim in Sri Lanka?” Shreen questioned.

“This happened because of the flawed and inadequate laws in the country specially Muslim Marriage and Divorce Act and Domestic Violence Act, growing religious fundamentalism and structures like mosques and Quazi courts playing with women’s rights and of course negligence of the police. Let’s see what the court will do?”, Shreen Abdul Saroor told Colombo Telegraph.

Her funeral will be held today morning in Thillaiyady, Puttalam.

Jihad and Martyrdom In Palestinian Authority Schoolbooks

The Middle East Research Institute (MEMRI) produced a report on Palestinian Authority schoolbooks. Read the full report here. MEMRI states:

The following are examples of references to jihad and martyrdom in Palestinian Authority schoolbooks. The references appear in books for the subjects of Islamic Studies, Arabic and Language.

Martyrdom

An Arabic textbook for grade 7 (Part I, p. 75) features the following poem, titled “The Martyr” (for the Arabic original, see Appendix, Figure 1):

I carry my life in my hand
And cast it into the abyss of perdition.
[Give me] either a life that gladdens the heart of a friend
Or a death that strikes at the enemy.
What is a life that does not sow fear
In the safe haven [of the enemy]?
By my life, I see my death,
Yet I hasten my steps towards it.
I see myself dying without gaining my stolen right
And my hoped-for homeland.
The ring of steel is pleasant to my ear
And the stream of blood gladdens my soul
A body fallen on the barren plains,
Or devoured by the desert beasts,
Its blood painted the soil crimson
And perfumed the east wind.
He sleeps and dreams the dream of eternity
And enjoys the best of dreams.
By my life, that is a death worthy of men
And whoever craves an honorable death, here it is.

On p. 79 of the same book, students are asked to write an essay about a Palestinian or Arab female martyr (see Appendix Figure 2).

An exercise in Part II of this book (p. 49) asks students to write an essay about a martyr they knew and mention details like his name, his place of birth, how he was martyred, “society’s attitude towards his family after his martyrdom,” and the status of martyrs in Islam (see Appendix Figure 3).

Also in Part II, a grammar exercise on p. 58 uses an article from the Al-Ayyam daily on the topic of martyrdom. The article  mentions Palestinian mothers who bury their sons while ululating in joy and fathers who bury their sons while promising to sacrifice their other sons as well (see Appendix Figure 4).

In a language textbook for grade 10, an exercise on p. 51 requires students to consider the sentence: “The Khansaas of Palestine offer up their children for the sake of the victory of Allah and his Messenger.”

Khansaa is an early Islamic heroine who celebrated the martyrdom of her sons who died waging jihad (see Appendix Figure 5).

An exercise on p. 93 uses the sentence “I swear by my honor that I will continue on the path of the martyrs” (see Appendix Figure 6).

In a grade 6 Arabic textbook (Part I, p. 34), a reading comprehension exercise asks the students to explain why the poet addresses the issue of the martyrdom of children (see Appendix Figure 7).

A grammar exercise on p. 101 refers to a Koranic verse (3:109): “Do not consider those who died for the sake of Allah as dead, rather as alive, at their Lord sustained” (see Appendix Figure 8).

An exercise in a reader for grade 8 (Part I, p. 18) requires students to “explain the multiple cases of martyrdom [mentioned in] the Koran and hadith” (see Appendix Figure 9).

An Islamic Studies textbook for grade 9 (Part I, p. 5) quotes Koran 47:4-6: “Therefore, when ye meet the Unbelievers, smite at their necks; At length, when ye have thoroughly subdued them, bind a bond firmly (on them): thereafter (is the time for) either generosity or ransom: Until the war lays down its burdens. Thus (are ye commanded): but if it had been Allah’s Will, He could certainly have exacted retribution from them (Himself); but (He lets you fight) in order to test you, some with others. But those who are slain in the Way of Allah, He will never let their deeds be lost.”

The lesson discusses the rewards of the martyrs who sacrifice their souls for the sake of Allah: Their sacrifices and their actions are never in vain; rather, Allah accepts their sacrifice, and forgives all their sins and houses them in the highest level of Paradise with the Prophets and Messengers (see Appendix Figure 10).

An Islamic Studies textbook for grade 10 (Part I, p. 8-9) presents justification for war against the polytheists. It too quotes Koran 47:4-6, as well as Koran 9:14: “Fight them; Allah will torture them by your hands and will disgrace them and give you victory over them and satisfy the breasts of a believing people; And remove the fury in the believers’ hearts…” (see Appendix Figure 11)

Jihad

A grade 6 Islamic Studies textbook (p. 33) discusses Ramadan as “the month of jihad, power and action,” and lists famous Islamic battles that took place during this month (see Appendix Figure 12).

An Islamic Studies textbook for grade 8 (Part II, p. 28) discusses the goals of jihad. It states that the mujahid must be pure in his intentions: he must not fight for the sake of gaining booty or enhancing his prestige, but in order to bring about the victory of Islam and make Allah’s Word supreme. The section quotes Koran 8:60: “And prepare against them whatever you are able of power and of steeds of war by which you may terrify the enemy of Allah and your enemy and others besides them whom you do not know [but] whom Allah knows. And whatever you spend in the cause of Allah will be fully repaid to you, and you will not be wronged” (see Appendix Figure 13).

A grade 8 language textbook (Part II, p. 55) quotes a hadith by Abu Huraira, who quoted the Prophet as saying: “He who dies without having fought in the Cause of Allah or without having thought of doing so dies with a characteristic of hypocrisy within him” (see Appendix Figure 14).

An Islamic Studies textbook for grade 7 (Part I, p. 64) discusses the Prophet’s wife ‘Aisha as an exemplary figure. It states that she participated in jihad for the sake of Allah and in the battle of Uhud, took care of the wounded and brought water to the fighters, and urged the believers to wage jihad (see Appendix Figure 15).

On Honoring Agreements:

A grade 9 Islamic Studies textbook (Part I, p. 52-54) includes a section on Treaty of Hudaybiyya between Muhammad and the Quraysh Tribe. Page 54 lists the lessons to be derived from this treaty, one which is the need to honor agreements signed by the Muslims with others if [these agreements] conform to the directives of Islam” (see Appendix Figure 16).

VIDEO: Muslim tries to break into American Airlines cockpit, U.S. fighter jets scrambled

Because of this incident, fighter jets escorted the plane into Honolulu. Uskanil, as you can see from the report below, was drinking — so therefore people will say that this incident had nothing to do with Islam or jihad. And that may be, although it may also be that he was drinking to steel himself for an act of jihad that he knew would be a good deed that would outweigh all the bad deeds he had committed, including the drinking itself. Also, many, many people drink on airplanes and before they board airplanes, sometimes to excess, and yet don’t end up trying to break into the cockpit. This bears watching, but given the present climate it is anybody’s guess as to whether the full story will ever be released to the public.

“Man Who Allegedly Tried to Break Into Cockpit of LA to Hawaii Flight Identified,” by Jason Kandel, NBC Los Angeles, May 19, 2017:

A 25-year-old man was arrested Friday after he allegedly tried to break into the cockpit of an American Airlines plane from Los Angeles to Hawaii, officials said.

Anil Uskanil

Officials identified the passenger as Anil Uskanil of Turkish ethnicity. He was escorted off American Airlines Flight 31, after it landed safely at 11:35 a.m. Hawaii Standard Time, according to a statement from the airline.

The series of events leading up to the arrest began at 2:45 a.m. at LAX, airport police said.

Los Angeles International Airport Police Division responded to a radio call of a passenger going through a door from the Terminal 5 concourse that led out onto the airfield ramp, according to a statement from LAX.

Uskanil, who was a ticketed passenger on an American Airlines flight, had gone through TSA screening and was immediately spotted by a contractor and detained, LAX Public Information Officer Frederick Badlissi said.

Airport police investigated and determined Uskanil had been drinking but did not meet the criteria for public intoxication. He was arrested for misdemeanor trespassing, cited, given a pending court date and released to board his flight to Honolulu.

On the flight Uskanil had been loitering near the restroom, carrying a laptop, a government source told NBC News. Flight attendants asked him to return to his seat and he refused, the source said.

Uskanil then seemed to lunge toward the cockpit door, according to the source, and that’s when several passengers subdued him….

Muslim migrant goes on stabbing spree at Milan train station

Anti-terrorism police are now looking into whether he has links with militant groups, the investigative source said, in a separate line of investigation from the attempted murder inquiry.

Ismail Hosni’s Facebook page was shut down.

In another report which is “unedited by Business Standards Staff,” it is revealed that Hosni’s Facebook profile, under his own name, “contained Islamic State propaganda videos and posts praising the jihadist group.” In that same report, Milan Police Commissioner Marcello Cardona states that Hosni was not “psychologically imbalanced.”

The West can expect many more incidents of jihad terror like this one, especially since ‘islamophobia’ remains a bigger crime than attacking Western innocents.

“Italy investigates Milan station attacker for alleged terrorism – source”, Reuters, May 19, 2017:

MILAN (Reuters) – Italian prosecutors are investigating a man who stabbed a policeman and two army officers at Milan’s main train station for alleged international terrorism, an investigative source said on Friday.

Police said Ismail Hosni, 20, attacked the three men on Thursday night after they asked to see his identity papers. None of the three suffered life-threatening injuries.

Video released by police showed the injured officers taking hold of Hosni and pushing him to the ground before other patrol staff intervened.

Hosni, who has dual Italian and Tunisian nationality and was born in Milan, was arrested after the attack and faces possible attempted murder charges.

Anti-terrorism police are now looking into whether he has links with militant groups, the investigative source said, in a separate line of investigation from the attempted murder inquiry.

Investigators closed down a Facebook page believed to have belonged to Hosni, which contained videos praising hardline Islamic State militants.

All three injured officials were taken to hospital…..

Court rules it acceptable for politician to be called ‘Nazi slut’ on TV for opposing Muslim migration

When AfD leader Alice Weidel said during a Cologne party conference that political correctness belongs in the dustbin of history, comedian Christian Ehring responded by putting her words to the test.

“Alright then, political correctness is over – let’s all be incorrect to each other. The Nazi slut is right there,” Ehring said while hosting his ‘Extra 3’ program.

Clearly, Weidel was expressing reasonable concerns about the prospect of Western freedoms, particularly freedom of speech, being shut down by accusations of racism, and specifically “Islamophobia.” Ehring knew this, but that did not stop him from spewing his ghastly insult and mischaracterizing Weidel’s intent. In so doing, he has perpetuated the common leftist/socialist schemes of dehumanizing their detractors and thereby inciting violence toward them. Another tactic of theirs is to label anyone “Nazi” who merely questions damaging immigration policy and the  barbarism that is spreading into the West due to Islamic supremacist and jihadi incursion.

Remember also that this “free speech” court ruling comes in a country in which a comedian was arrested last year for criticizing Turkish President Erdogan.

“‘Nazi slut’: German court rules ‘satirical’ insult of AfD leader is acceptable”, RT News, May 17, 2017:

Calling a far-right politician a “Nazi slut” on television is perfectly acceptable, according to a German court, which ruled that a TV presenter was being satirical when he said those very words about an Alternative for Germany (AfD) politician last month.

Failing to see the ‘comedic value’ in Ehring’s joke, Weidel took legal action against the presenter, saying his words were defamatory and put her in danger.

However, a Hamburg court disagreed with Weidel on Wednesday, ruling that the phrase was clearly a joke about the politician’s reference to political correctness.

It ruled that the word ‘Nazi’ referenced the fact that “within large sections of the public, the AfD is viewed as right-wing or even far right-wing,” according to the Local and DPA.

It went on to state that while the word ‘slut’ has a sexual connotation, it is clear to the viewer that “the description was used because the complainant is a woman, and that the comment in no way is truthful.”

The judgement also stated that satirical exaggeration is protected by German laws on freedom of speech, and that Weidel, as a public figure, must accept being the target of exaggerated satire.

Weidel has announced she will appeal the decision.

“This ruling shows how far you can go under the cover of satire in Germany. That such aggressive defamation also poses a threat to Ms Weidel’s safety doesn’t seem to bother the court,” AfD spokesman Christian Luth said.

The ruling comes less than one week after Weidel made headlines for accusing German Chancellor Angela Merkel of being “insane.”

“Donald Trump said that Merkel is insane and I absolutely agree with that. It is a completely nonsensical form of politics that is being followed here,” she told the Local….

Georgetown professor promotes ‘religious discrimination’ against Jews

The radicalization of our nation’s colleges and universities continues apace. Hard-left, antisemitic propaganda has now been institutionalized in academia. The ugliest rhetoric is sanctioned under the guise of “free speech,” while courageous voices for freedom are blacklisted. My colleagues and I are banned from speaking, for the most part. And in the rare instance where we are invited, violent and vicious pandemonium ensues. Robert Spencer’s talk at the University at Buffalo, Milo at Berkeley or mine at Brooklyn College best demonstrate what we face. And yet, Linda Sarsour, a pro-jihad terror activist and vicious anti-Semite is invited to give the keynote commencement address at CUNY (which we are protesting on May 25th here).

Professor Jonathan Brown is a notorious Jew-hater with a long history of anti-Semitic agitation. His wife is the daughter of Palestinian Islamic Jihad leader Sami al-Arian.

“Georgetown professor Jonathan Brown openly rallies for ‘religious discrimination’ against Jews,” Canary Mission, May 18, 2017:

Jonathan Brown [Jonathan A.C. Brown] has demonized Israeli Jews and Judaism. He  has implied that the Palestinian-Israeli conflict could be solved if only “Jews in Israel” were told that “they are not allowed to take stuff that doesn’t belong to them.”

In February of 2017, Brown found himself embroiled in controversy after he was accused of supporting non-consensual sex and slavery in early Islam. The incident is detailed later in this profile.

Brown has endorsed the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement’s attacks on Israel, made under the guise of support for “human rights.”

Brown is a tenured Associate Professor of Islamic Civilization at Georgetown University (Georgetown). He is the Alwaleed bin Talal Chair of Islamic Civilization in Georgetown’s School of Foreign Service (SFS). Brown is also the Director of the Alwaleed bin Talal Center for Muslim Christian Understanding (CMCU) within the SFS. The CMCU is known for its links to the Saudi government.

Brown is son-in-law to Sami Al-Arian, a former University of South Florida (USF) professor, who was revealed in 2006 to be a leader of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ), a specially designated terrorist organization. The United States government deported Al-Arian to Turkey in 2015. Brown’s wife is Al-Jazeera senior producer Laila Al-Arian.

Demonizing Israeli Jews

On February 26, 2015  — at a multi-denominational symposium hosted by the Policy Studies Organization (PSO) titled: “Religious Politics in the Middle East: The Religious Dimension of the Israeli-Palestinian Conflict — Brown said: “The problem is that the Israeli political creature, the Israeli political establishment, has not told Jews in Israel that they are not allowed to take stuff that doesn’t belong to them and that is, I think, a fundamental problem… If you can tell people that your religious belief does not give you the right to take the possessions of someone else. Ok? Then If that were established, I think that would completely change, you know, the reality 180 degrees.”

Promoting Faith-Based Segregation

On February 26, 2015, at the above-mentioned symposium, Brown suggested that Americans would have to overcome their “allergy to the idea of religious discrimination” if they wanted to envisage a realistic end to the conflict between Israelis and Palestinians. Brown went on to say and that even within the context of a totally secular democratic state, it would be “absolutely disastrous” for Palestinian Muslims or Palestinian Christians if “a Jew’s allowed” to go into the holy places of other religions “and just start praying there.” Brown said that we “need to accept that” Jerusalem might have to become a “very divided city under some kind of international or … external control.”

Later, Brown highlighted the Palestinian’s perception of being “encroached upon” by Israeli Jews and posited that a “clear notion of stable boundaries and separations”  would lead to a “cosmopolitan atmosphere” and help in “building trust.”

Earlier in the symposium, Brown said “I don’t want to say that this isn’t a religious issue, because I think it very clearly is — especially from the Jewish and the Christian perspective — But I think, actually, from the Arab/Muslim perspective not so much.”

Brown argued that even “if you could just erase religion from the minds of Palestinians, they would still have all the problems that they have now” and “the problem would still not be resolved.” Brown also posited that the willingness of fundamental Islamists to fight alongside secular Arabs against Israel showed that the fundamentals of the conflict were not religious.

Brown later posited: I think the religion is the superstructure and the unresolved issues of control and disenfranchisement and land and power and and rights — these are the real issues.”

Presenting BDS as a Muslim Duty

On November 4, 2016, in a podcast titledDiffused Congruence: The American Muslim Experience,” Brown insinuated that Muslims have a religious responsibility to promote BDS. After listing the various religious, cultural and professional affiliations of some people who support BDS — and singling out some Jews, in particular — Brown went on to say: “Who’s the ones who are going against BDS and undermining it now? It’s the young Muslims. Think about that disgrace.” (7:20).

Brown made his comments in the context of slamming a Jewish-Muslim dialogue project known as the Muslim Leadership Initiative (MLI,) which was founded by Imam Abdullah Antepli, the first Muslim chaplain at Duke University. MLI is an educational program for Muslim Americans to “understand why Jews believe what they believe, how Jews see their history, why Jews are so attached to this contested strip of land (Israel) — and thus to better engage with American Jews.” According to Antepli, “MLI aims to put mainstream North American Jewry in conversation with their Muslim counterparts.”

Brown said he had no problem with young Muslims “dialoguing” with Jews or Zionists “anywhere.” However, he said that since the organizers “insisted” that the program be held in Israel, it “should reveal what the actual purpose is… to break the boycott in going there.”

Demanding Israel Surrender “Power”

In the same podcast, after arguing that religious segregation is a necessary prerequisite to trust building, Brown argued the basis for the Arab-Israeli conflict is really a political one, caused by an imbalance of power and resources.

Brown argued that if one group has “armed power… resources and international power” and another group does not, then “until that imbalance is rectified, in some way, there’s not going to be a solution.” Brown said you “can’t have peaceful relations or solving an age-old conflict unless the party that is in power surrenders that – until you have some kind of equitable distribution.”

In his closing remarks, Brown responded to a request for his solution to the psychological-religious divide between the parties. Brown hypothesized that “theoretically for an Islamist” such as “someone in Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ)” will assert that his religious goals might be to “establish an Islamic state here” and “have Sharia Law” and to “drive all the Jews into the sea.”

Challenging “Freedom” and “Consent”

On February 7, 2017, Brown’s comments at a lecture titled “Islam and The Problem of Slavery” made national headlines. Multiple media outlets accused Brown of speaking in favor of slavery and rape —  a claim which Brown denied. The controversy began with a blog post by freelance writer Umar Lee, who attended Brown’s lecture.

On February 8, 2017, it was reported that Brown had conservative journalist Andrew Harrod ejected from the lecture hall, prior to the start of Brown’s formal remarks. Brown referenced the ejection at the beginning of his lecture — and publicly derided the ejected reporter.

Below are a selection of controversial statements Brown made during the lecture and the Q&A period that followed:

In response to a questioner who characterized imposed slavery as a “wrong,”  Brown said: “If you’re Muslim, the prophet of God … had slaves. He had slaves. There’s no denying that. Are you more morally mature than the prophet of God? No, you’re not.”

Brown also said: “Slavery cannot just be treated as a moral evil in and of itself, because ‘slavery’ doesn’t mean anything. The moral evil is extreme forms of deprivation of rights and extreme forms of control and extreme forms of exploitation. I don’t think it’s morally evil to own somebody, because we own lots of people all around us and we’re owned by people.”

On August 9, 2015 — according to a February 11, 2017 screenshot on Twitter — Brown said on Facebook: “I think people have a lot of things mixed up in their minds, forming a sort of outrage soup they can’t deal with. I think one has to proceed in an orderly way 1) slavery is, in general, allowed in Islamic law. 2) It’s very possible (and it’s actually happened) to declare that slavery is no longer permissible whether due to consistent failings in treatment of slaves or the decision of governments for the common good of the Muslim community. 3) But it’s not possible to say that slavery is inherently, absolutely, categorically immoral in all times and places, since it was allowed by the Quran and the Prophet. 4) Slave women do not have agency over their sexual access, so their owner can have sex with them.”

Explaining Non-Consensual Sex

During his February 7, 2017 lecture, Brown challenged modern standards of morality that define human beings as “autonomous agents” and dictate that “the sine qua non of morally correct sex is consent.”

Brown went on to say: “For most of human history, human beings have not thought of consent as the essential feature of morally correct sexual activity. And second, we fetishize the idea of autonomy to the extent that we forget – again, who’s really free? Are we really autonomous people? What does autonomy mean?”

Brown then followed up: “We have this obsession with the idea of autonomy” —  and proceeded to equate the servitude of those pressed into sexual slavery or serving as concubines to individuals subject to voluntarily assumed familial obligations, stemming from marriage.

Walking Back Controversial Statements

On February 17, 2017, Brown defended his statements, in the Washington Post, stating: “These people criticizing me don’t know the difference between the past and the present tense. The talk I gave was historical description.”

On February 16, 2017, Brown wrote an article for the online magazine Muslim Matters where he explained his statements. There, Brown wrote: “As a Muslim today, I can say emphatically that slavery is wrong and that Islam prohibits it … It’s easy for me to say this looking back on slavery in American history, because our American slavery was a manifestation of the absolute domination of one human being by another that is, in my opinion, a universal wrong across time and space.”

On February 11, 2017, Brown tweeted: “Islam as a faith and I as a person condemn slavery, rape and concubinage.”

BDS

The BDS movement was founded in 2005 by Omar Barghouti and asserts that it “works to end international support for Israel’s oppression of Palestinians and pressure Israel to comply with international law.”

BDS initiatives include compelling institutions and individuals to divest from Israeli-affiliated companies, academic boycotts, anti-Israel rallies and protests.

The movement’s most notable achievement has been the infiltration of university campuses through lobbying for “BDS resolutions.” In these cases, backed by university anti-Israel affiliates, student governments have brought to vote on some form of boycott of — or divestment from — Israel and Israeli-affiliated entities. These resolutions, although non-binding, have been passed by student governments on numerous North American campuses.

BDS activity is often aggressive and disruptive. It has been noted that universities that pass BDS resolutions see a marked increase in anti-Semitic incidents on campus. In 2013, when the student government of the University of California Santa Barbara (UCSB) debated a BDS resolution, reports emerged of violent threats and the spitting on a student wearing a Star of David necklace. As a result, the student government chose to vote via a “secret ballot” in order to ensure their own safety.
