REPORT: HAMAS Is Here In The United States of America [Video]

HAMAS has long been known as a Middle East terror organization that declares in its foundational Covenant that the obliteration of Israel is its raison d’etre and regularly fires missiles and digs tunnels across the border from Gaza to make that happen. But until now, its extensive networked presence here in the United States has been less well-understood, largely because of HAMAS’ success in disguising its operations through an array of front groups.

To cut through the web of HAMAS deceit, veteran Middle East analyst and author Ilana Freedman brings another volume in the Center for Security Policy Press’ Civilization Jihad Reader series, HAMAS, CAIR & the Muslim Brotherhood. As she explains in her highly readable yet fact-rich style, the Muslim Brotherhood (of which HAMAS is the Palestinian franchise) sought to expand into this country soon after World War II. But it really established a solid foothold with the founding in 1993 of the Council on American Islamic Relations (CAIR) by the top HAMAS operatives in the United States at the time.

As Freedman explains in her in-depth treatment of the 2008 Holy Land Foundation/HAMAS terror funding trial, while CAIR may be the most directly tied of the HAMAS branches inside the U.S., hundreds of other Brotherhood front groups all share the same objective, as spelled out in the Brotherhood’s 1991 Explanatory Memorandum. That objective is “destroying…Western Civilization from within and sabotaging its miserable house by their hands [meaning those of the infidels]….” Unlike in the Middle East, where HAMAS’ Gaza operation confronts Israel kinetically and constantly, inside the U.S., the preferred method thus far has been “civilization jihad” – the stealthy, subversive use of infiltration, subversion and deception to pursue the destruction of the pillars of American society “from within.” By posing as “moderate” Islamic alternatives to the vicious violence of the likes of al Qaeda, the Islamic State or Taliban, the U.S. Brotherhood front groups have enjoyed remarkable success in advancing this agenda.

That is largely because Americans are all-too-often are unprepared to recognize deceit when it is employed in a sustained, disciplined fashion by skilled professionals. Consequently, as documented in a number of CSP Press’ other Civilization Jihad Reader Series offerings, key U.S. constituencies – notably, in academia, the courts and legal system, faith communities, government at all levels, local law enforcement and society in general – have failed to recognize that they are under assault by Brotherhood-associated individuals and groups. This is all the more shocking given that the latter’s loyalty to the triumph of Islam’s supremacist Sharia doctrine and to jihad to establish its dominance worldwide is of a piece with the ambitions of other jihadist groups.

Ilana Freedman cuts through such confusion, cognitive dissonance and willful blindness to exposes one group after another that represent themselves as not-for-profit organizations, Muslim advocacy representatives, or legitimate businesses for the jihadist front group they really are. For example, in addition to CAIR, she highlights the Islamic Circle of North America (ICNA), the Islamic Society of North America (ISNA), the Muslim American Society (MAS), the Muslim Public Affairs Committee (MPAC), the North American Islamic Trust (NAIT) and many more tied to the Muslim Brotherhood by the Department of Justice in the Holy Land Foundation trial.

Of particular importance is Freedman’s examination of how the U.S. Muslim Brotherhood has evolved with its formation in 2014 of the U.S. Council of Muslim Organizations (USCMO). Her analysis of the USCMO’s known links not only to jihadist fronts but to groups like Black Lives Matter and the Saul Alinsky-type anarchists that cluster under the name “Antifa” is especially timely as we see these apparently disparate groups form connections in a common drive to destroy America’s constitutional Republic. In addition, Freedman connects all these dots to national level donors and funders who enable such subversive operations to function.

In the following video, Center for Security Policy Vice President for Research and Analysis, Clare Lopez, who serves as the editor-in-chief of the “Terror Jihad” collection and its companion, the “Civilization Jihad Readers Series,” introduces the Center’s new monograph, HAMAS, CAIR & the Muslim Brotherhood.

Upon the publication of Ilana Freedman’s new monograph, Center’s President, Frank J. Gaffney, observed:

The damage to U.S. national security wrought by the subversive operations of HAMAS and other Muslim Brotherhood groups is less immediately visible than acts of violent terrorism. But in the long-term, it is these civilization jihadists’ relentless corrosion of the pillars of America’s society that poses the most grave threat to our Republic.

The Center is pleased to present the latest addition to our Civilization Jihad Reader series, HAMAS, CAIR & the Muslim Brotherhood as an important contribution to exposing and countering this insidious peril inside our country.

Hamas thrilled that Obama let UN pass anti-Israel resolution

“Hamas Couldn’t Be Happier Obama Let UN Pass Anti-Israel Resolution,” by Russ Read, Daily Caller, December 29, 2016:

Palestinian terrorist group Hamas is ecstatic about passage of a United Nations Security Council resolution condemning Israel’s settlement policy, and its own incitement to violence.

Hamas issued a statement supporting the resolution Saturday, one day after its passage. The Obama administration abstained from voting on the measure, allowing it to pass. The move infuriated Israeli officials who saw it as an abandonment of the historical U.S. policy of vetoing such resolutions.

“We value the position of states that voted in favor of the resolution and welcome this significant transformation in international positions that support the Palestinian people’s rights,” said Hamas spokesman Fawzi Barhoum in a press release.

The terrorist group’s keen support is surprising, given the resolution supposedly also condemns groups like Hamas for engaging in terrorism against Israelis. What’s more, Barhoum goes on to say his group supports further resolutions “backing the Palestinian people’s just cause.”

U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry claimed Wednesday the resolution rightly condemns incitement, but the resolution itself makes no mention of Palestinian incitement specifically. Instead, a majority of the resolution outlines Israel’s alleged transgressions.

Deputy National Security Adviser Ben Rhodes assured reporters in a phone call Friday that the administration’s decision to abstain from the vote does not change its long-standing policy of supporting Israel.

“President Obama has done more for Israel and its security than any previous U.S. president,” claimed Rhodes….

Gaza: Christians continue to be forced to convert to Islam

The plight of Christian living in Gaza under the Palestinian authority continues to worsen. According to a new Arabic language report, recent years have “witnessed a critical upsurge against the Christians,” who only amount to approximately 2,500 people—surrounded by approximately 1.5 million Muslims. Local authorities have abandoned the tiny minority to Islamist elements who have “placed great and continuous pressure” on the Christians.

“At times we hear of the bombing of a Christian bookshop and assaults on churches and other Christian institutions; other times we hear of the kidnapping of Christians and the coercion of them to embrace the religion of Muhammad,” says the report.

In mid October, Christians in Gaza led a protest, calling for the return of their kidnapped children and loved ones. They held up signs saying “I am a Christian and boast of my cross.” Bishop Alexios of the region “confirmed that the Christians who converted to Islam did so under threats, coercion, compulsion, and force.” His church also submitted a formal petition to the governor of the region, Ismail Haniyeh, calling on him to investigate matters, but received no response.

Palestinian Muslim leaders say that such Christians convert of their own free will and without pressure; however, these same Muslim leaders refuse to let their Christian families meet with or even learn the whereabouts of these recent converts, so they can confirm if their conversions were committed freely or under duress.

The report adds that Gaza’s Christians are calling on the Christian world to intervene. The bishop said that he is trying to communicate all of this to the Vatican, the United Nations, and the United States.

Devout Muslim Group Burns Children Alive, Slaughters Over 100

Another Muslim group aligned with the Islamic State waging holy war in the cause of Allah. The “Group of the People of Sunnah for Preaching and Jihad,” commonly referred to as Boko Haram, has pledged allegiance to the Islamic State.

Obama say, “the Islamic State is not Islamic.” And what a brilliant and effective strategy that has turned out to be. Obama’s tower of skulls.

ISIS, Boko Haram, al Shabaab, Hamas, Muslim Brotherhood, al Qaeda, Hezb’Allah, MILF, et al — it’s all the same thing. Islamic imperialism through jihad (holy war).

“Boko Haram Jihadis Burn Children Alive, Slay Over 100 Villagers in Nigeria Massacre,” By Thomas D. Williams, Ph.D., Breitbart, January 31, 2016:

In one of their most heinous massacres to date, militants from the radical Islamist Boko Haram group slaughtered over a hundred victims in a village in northeast Nigeria Saturday night, including a number of children whom they burned alive.

The latest atrocity from the jihadi group allied to the Islamic State took place in the village of Dalori, some three miles from Maiduguri, Nigeria. Vice Chairman of a civilian joint task force in Dalori, Modu Kaka, said that at least 100 dead bodies were taken away but that hundreds are still missing.

Witnesses spoke of “scores of bodies” burned and riddled with bullets lying in the streets after the attack Saturday night. One man, who managed to escape by hiding in a tree, said that he could hear the wails of children screaming in the flames.

Residents of the community said the militants stormed into town around 6:20 pm and began their killing spree, which lasted for several hours. During the assault, the jihadis demolished houses and burned livestock once they had pillaged and carried away foodstuffs. Several of the villagers were burnt beyond recognition.

Witnesses reported that the fighters ravaged the settlement for four hours, and that three female suicide bombers blew themselves up among people who were fleeing.

Students at nearby University of Maiduguri heard explosions and gunfire, and many fled the area as the conflict raged.

One political science student named Hauwa Ba’na said: “We are crying in our hostel because the explosions are loud and everyone is panicking.”

A Dalori resident, Mallam Buka, decried the lack of protection from the Nigerian military. “We were helpless. Could you believe that there was no military presence in Dalori? The government didn’t provide security to protect us. I lost 11 people, and 5 of our children are nowhere to be found,” she said.

Another resident by the name of Ibrahim Muhammad said that the Boko Haram insurgents had dressed up as military personnel and began opening fire on everybody. “All our wives and children were brutally killed while they looted and destroyed our livestock,” he said.

Boko Haram terrorists began their Islamist insurgency in Maiduguri in 2009, and during their 6-year uprising have killed some 20,000 people and driven another 2.5 million from their homes.

Top 13 Muslim Brotherhood Quotes

The U.S. government rejected the conclusions of the British government’s 18-month review of its intelligence and policy towards the Muslim Brotherhood, concluding that the Islamist group is linked to terrorism and extremism. The comprehensive study welcomed outside contributors, of which the Clarion Project was one.

The British government rejected the myth that the Brotherhood is “moderate” and the patently false notion that it is “non-violent.” The Brotherhood and its ideology are now rightly seen as adversarial and measures will be taken to counter its threat. While the UK stopped just shy of banning it as a terrorist group, Prime Minister David Cameron said it will “keep under review whether the views and activities of the Muslim Brotherhood meet the legal test for proscription.”

Here are the top 13 quotes from the British government review and Prime Minister Cameron’s official statement in no particular order:

  1. “The Muslim Brotherhood’s foundational texts call for the progressive moral purification of individuals and Muslim societies and their eventual political unification in a Caliphate under Sharia law. To this day the Muslim Brotherhood characterizes Western societies and liberal Muslims as decadent and immoral. It can be seen primarily as a political project.”
  2. “Aspects of Muslim Brotherhood ideology and tactics, in this country and overseas, are contrary to our values and have been contrary to our national interests and our national security.”
  3. “From its foundation the Muslim Brotherhood organized itself into a secretive ‘cell’ structure, with an elaborate induction and education program for new members…This clandestine, centralized and hierarchical structure persists to this day.”
  4. “The Hamas founding charter claims that they are the Palestinian branch of the Muslim Brotherhood and the Muslim Brotherhood treat them as such. In the past ten years support for Hamas (including in particular funding) has been an important priority for the MB in Egypt and the MB international network.”
  5. “From at least the 1950s the Egyptian Muslim Brotherhood also developed an international network, within and beyond the Islamic world. Europe became an important base for the growing Muslim Brotherhood global network.”
  6. “The wider international network of the Muslim Brotherhood now performs a range of functions. It promotes Muslim Brotherhood ideology (including through communications platforms), raises and invests funds, and provides a haven for members of the Brotherhood who have left their country of origin to continue promoting Brotherhood activity.”
  7. “[F]or the most part, the Muslim Brotherhood have preferred non violent incremental change on the grounds of expediency, often on the basis that political opposition will disappear when the process of Islamization is complete. But they are prepared to countenance violence—including, from time to time, terrorism—where gradualism is ineffective.”
  8. “Muslim Brotherhood organizations and associated in the UK have neither openly nor consistently refuted the literature of Brotherhood member Sayyid Qutb which is known to have inspired people (including in this country) to engage in terrorism.”
  9. “[The review] concluded that it was not possible to reconcile these [MB] views with the claim made by the Egyptian Muslim Brotherhood in their evidence to the review that ‘the Muslim Brotherhood has consistently adhered to peaceful means of opposition, renouncing all forms of violence throughout its existence.'”
  10. “In the 1990s the Muslim Brotherhood and their associates established public facing and apparently national organizations in the UK to promote their views. None were openly identified with the Muslim Brotherhood and membership of the Muslim Brotherhood remained (and still remains) a secret.”
  11. “[MB fronts] became politically active, notably in connection with Palestine and Iraq, and promoted candidates in national and local elections…sought and obtained a dialogue with Government….were active members in a security dialogue with the police.”
  12. “The Muslim Brotherhood have been publicly committed to political engagement in this country. Engagement with Government has at times been facilitated by what appeared to be a common agenda against al Qaida and (at least in the UK) militant Salafism. But this engagement did not take into account of Muslim Brotherhood support for a proscribed terrorist group and its views about terrorism which, in reality, are quite different from our own.”
  13. “Senior Muslim Brotherhood figures and associated have justified attacks against coalition forces in Iraq and Afghanistan.”

The U.S. government, without even conducting any kind of review of its own, issued a statement to the Investigative Project on Terrorism rejecting any ban or even any “de-legitimizing” of the Brotherhood at all.

“Political repression of non-violent Islamist groups has historically contributed to the radicalization of the minority of their members who would consider violence…The de-legitimization of non-violent political groups does not promote stability and instead advances the very outcomes that such measures are intended to prevent,” the U.S. government statement claims.

In other words, the U.S. position is this: Be held hostage by the so-called “non-violent Islamist groups.” Sure, the Muslim Brotherhood has a wing named Hamas that the U.S. officially designated as a Foreign Terrorist Organization but it could be worse—at least not allof the group’s members are engaging in violence.

Accept them as “moderates” as they wish, even at the cost of better Muslim alternatives. Don’t confront them. Don’t even “delegitimize” them for their radicalism and ideology because that might push them over the edge.

That’s not a mindset that understands what the threat is and certainly is not one that can defeat it.

Palestinians: Two-thirds favor stabbing Israeli civilians — glorifying slaughter

It’s just a few extremists, remember. It’s just a tiny minority. Every religion has its extremists, you racist, bigoted Islamophobe. Two-thirds of “Palestinian” Muslims favor stabbing Israeli civilians, but remember: the Crusades!

Stab2“2/3 of Palestinians in favor of stabbings,” by Nan Jacques Zilberdik, Palestinian Media Watch, December 20, 2015:

Following almost three months of Palestinian riots, violence and deadly terror attacks against Israelis, 2/3 (67%) of Palestinians are in favor of stabbing attacks against Israelis and almost the same amount are in favor of “an armed intifada.”

Although most Palestinians support “the use of knives,” almost half (47%) of Palestinians believe the PA’s libel that Israel fabricates the stabbing attacks  and that “those who were shot have not stabbed or were not attempting to stab Israelis.” However, 51% do believe that “most… have in fact stabbed or were attempting to stab Israelis.”

These opinions were revealed in a recent poll conducted by the Palestinian Center for Policy and Survey Research (PSR) in the West Bank and the Gaza Strip between Dec. 10-12, 2015 (see below). Summing up the results, PSR remarked that “the ‘Oslo generation’ of youth between the ages of 18 and 22 are the most supportive of an armed intifada and stabbings and the least supportive of the two-state solution.”

This poll confirms Palestinian Media Watch‘s findings that the PA is not educating Palestinians to peace, but is entrenching hatred and terror, and shows that the PA’s constant terror glorification, promotion of violence and libels against Israel successfully reverberate among Palestinians.

The poll found that almost 2/3 (60%) are in favor of an “armed intifada” and more than 1/3 (37%) of Palestinians believe that “the current confrontations” will develop into such. Two thirds (66%) believe that a “new armed intifada” “would serve Palestinian national interests in ways that negotiations could not.”

Other aspects of the poll also reflect that Palestinians believe PA libels, especially the false claim that Israel seeks to destroy the Al-Aqsa Mosque  – the allegation used by the PA to spark the current wave of violence as well as previous waves of terror attacks:

“An overwhelming majority believes that al Haram al Sharif is in grave danger: 51% believe that Israel intends to destroy al-Aqsa Mosque and the Dome of the Rock and replace them with a Jewish temple; 17% believe that it intends to divide the plateau on which the two mosques sit so that Jews would have a synagogue alongside the Muslim holy places; and 9% believe that Israel intends to change the status quo prevailing in the plateau since 1967 by allowing Jews to pray there. Only 11% believe that Israel is interested in maintaining the status quo without change.”

Hamas: “The so-called peace process is futile. There is no peace. Only the path of Jihad, sacrifice, and blood.”

“Therefore, the young man who puts his life on the line and the heroic sister, with nothing but a knife at hand, are justified, and Allah accepts them. This is up to Allah, but He accepts their Jihad and their martyrdom. By God, they are the most exalted and the noblest of people.”

That echoes the Qur’an: “You are the best nation produced for mankind. You enjoin what is right and forbid what is wrong and believe in Allah.” (3:110)

“Hamas Leader Khaled Mash’al Exalts Palestinian Terror Attacks, Carried Out by ‘the Noblest of People,’” MEMRI, December 10, 2015:

In a December 10 address in Kuala Lampur, Hamas Leader Khaled Mash’al praised Palestinians attacking with knives and cars in the West Bank and Jerusalem, glorifying their martyrdom and saying: “By God, they are the most exalted and the noblest of people.” Mash’al further said: “After the knives used by the people of the West Bank and Jerusalem – can anyone possibly have an excuse to abandon the path of Jihad?”

Following are excerpts from the address, which was broadcast by the Al-Jazeera network.

Khaled Mash’al: The Palestinians have reached the realization that negotiations with the [Israelis] are useless. The so-called peace process is futile. There is no peace. Only the path of Jihad, sacrifice, and blood [will bear fruit]. Our rights will not be restored through the U.N. Security Council, but by means of recruitment. 2,000 verbal “rockets” do not compare to a single rocket made of iron.

The children and youth of the West Bank have absorbed the message: Weapons like Kalashnikovs or missiles are not at hand, but there are knives and cars with which to run over the enemies. By God, after the knives used by the people of the West Bank and Jerusalem – can anyone possibly have an excuse to abandon the path of Jihad? Nobody can have such an excuse. Our Lord says: “Allah does not impose upon anyone a duty but to the extent of his ability.” He also said: “Prepare for them what you can.” Therefore, the young man who puts his life on the line and the heroic sister, with nothing but a knife at hand, are justified, and Allah accepts them. This is up to Allah, but He accepts their Jihad and their martyrdom. By God, they are the most exalted and the noblest of people.

Radical U.S. Based Muslim Organization Blames America for San Bernardino Slaughter

Another Islamic terrorist attack has taken place on American soil—in San Bernardino, where 14 people were murdered—and none other than that unindicted co-conspirator of Islamic terror, CAIR, is saying it’s America’s fault.

Frank Camp of the Independent Journal reports that “During an interview with CNN’s Chris Cuomo on Friday [Dec. 4], Center for American Islamic Relations (CAIR) L.A. branch director Hussam Ayloush said the United States is partly responsible for radical Islam”:

Let’s not forget that some of our own foreign policy as Americans, as the West, have fueled that extremism. When we support cruel leaders in Egypt, or other places. When we support dictatorships, repressive regimes around the world that push people over to the edge. Then they become extremists; then they become terrorists. We are partly responsible. Terrorism is a global problem, not a Muslim problem.

It’s a testimony to CAIR’s intellectually barren and morally bankrupt—or, in a word, Islamist—nature that it must fall back on one of the most manifestly false of all apologias: the claim that Islamic violence is a product of Islamic grievance—in this case U.S. foreign policy.

The fundamental problem with the “grievance” claim is that it contradicts what the terrorist themselves repeatedly say is their motivation—killing non-Muslims (“infidels”) according to the Islamic doctrine of jihad.

Although jihadis do enjoy taking advantage of Western softness/naivety by claiming their murderous bloodlust is “our fault”—thereby killing two birds with one stone: 1) getting unwanted attention away from Islam/Muslims and 2) gaining concessions for the same—they also make it clear that hating, subjugating, and terrorizing the non-Muslim is required by Islamic law, or Sharia.

This was well summed up by the late Osama bin Laden.  Although he had issued any number of communiques that were eagerly published by BBC and CNN saying that 9/11 was “payback” for supposed anti-Muslim U.S. foreign policies, he wrote the following words in a private letter to fellow Saudis:

Our talks with the infidel West and our conflict with them ultimately revolve around one issue … and it is: Does Islam, or does it not, force people by the power of the sword to submit to its authority corporeally if not spiritually?…  The matter is summed up for every person alive: Either submit, or live under the suzerainty of Islam, or die. (The Al Qaeda Reader, p. 42)

Ayman al-Zawahiri, current leader of al-Qaeda, also wrote a 60-page treatise about the Muslim doctrine of Loyalty and Enmity.  Based on numerous Koran verses, it makes clear that Muslims must always bear enmity for all non-Muslims—indeed, they must even hate their own wives, if they happen to be Christians or Jews.

Doctrinal justifications—that is, words—aside, daily current events also throw a wrench in the “grievance” propaganda machine. For instance, if Muslims are terrorizing and slaughtering Americans due to political “grievances,” why are they also terrorizing and slaughtering non-Muslim minorities who have no political power to “aggrieve” anyone?

Consider the situation of Christians, the largest and most visible religious minority in the Muslim world.  Not just at the hands of “ISIS,” but at the hands of Muslims everywhere—in the Arab Middle East, in black Africa, in Central and Far East Asia, even in the West—Christians are being persecuted and denied religious freedom; are having their churches bombed, burned, or simply banned; are being abducted, extorted, enslaved, and raped.

Such Christians are often identical to their Muslim co-citizens in race, ethnicity, national identity, culture, and language.  There is no political dispute, no land dispute.  Most significantly, these disempowered Christian minorities certainly have no political power—meaning there can be no Muslim “grievances” either.  So why are they hated and hounded?  Because they are Christians—infidels—and that’s the same reason Americans are being terrorized.

As James Lorimer, a theoretician of legal jurisprudence, wrote back in 1884 in his Institutes of the Law of Nations:

So long as Islam endures, the reconciliation of its adherents, even with Jews and Christians, and still more with the rest of mankind, must continue to be an insoluble problem. … For an indefinite future, however reluctantly, we must confine our political recognition to the professors of those religions which … preach the doctrine of “live and let live.” … Keep reading

Hamas Runs First Paramilitary Camps for Schoolgirls

This summer Hamas ran its first ever women’s paramilitary training camp in the Gaza Strip. It provided girls with the same mixture of indoctrination and military training hitherto provided for boys in the Hamas run Gaza Strip.

“I joined the first al-Quds Army camp, and I am proud to be part of it” participant Wafaa al-Sharbassi, 16, told Al-Monitor. “These camps grow the seeds of love of the nation and teaches us about our Islamic sanctities that are being blatantly violated, such as Al-Aqsa Mosque. They also strengthen our rights to defend our presence and resist the Israeli occupation.”

She added, “This camp revived our hopes to create a female army to liberate Al-Aqsa from the occupation. We learn about weapons and how to handle them, and we are ready to go through intensive military training for this purpose.”

Other groups in the strip have trained women before. The Nasser Eddin Brigades trained 80 women to be jihadi fighters earlier this year, teaching them how to fire rifles and plant explosives.

In Hamas-run Gaza separation between men and women is strict and women are strongly discouraged from doing anything that might take them away from their role as wives and mothers.

Yet women who train to be jihadis have more rights and can spend time away from their families without suspicion.
