Linda Sarsour says her hijab transformed her from ‘white’ into a ‘person of color’

Elder of Ziyon has made the most amazing discovery: Linda Sarsour “magically changed from white to a ‘woman of color’ in an instant,” just by putting on a hijab.

Sarsour says in the above video: “When I wasn’t wearing hijab I was just some ordinary white girl from New York City.” That comes from a Vox video published in January 2017.

But in an April 2017 interview, there is this:

After watching Michelle Pfeiffer’s character in Dangerous Minds, Sarsour decided to become a high school teacher, “inspiring young people of color like me, to show them their potential.” She graduated a year early, gave birth to her eldest son, and enrolled in community college.

I’ve often argued against the idea that opposition to jihad terror is “racist” by pointing out the Islam is not a race, and that converts to Islam don’t change their race when they change their religion. But now I see how it works, courtesy of Linda Sarsour: conversion to Islam, or at least devout observance of Islam, really does change one’s race! It’s magic! Sarsour should help a sister out and call Rachel Dolezal to tell her that all she has to do in order to become a member of her preferred race is don a hijab.

Muslim thief awarded $85,000 because cop removed her hijab

“There really is no justification for taking off a person’s religious headgear,” said Powell’s attorney, Marwa Rifahie of the Hamas-linked Council on American-Islamic Relations.

But there is. Something could be hidden in it. A prisoner could hide a knife in a hijab and kill a police officer with it. And when that happens, the police officer will be a martyr of multiculturalism and “diversity.”

Kirsty Powell

“Muslim woman awarded $85,000 after her hijab was forcibly removed by Long Beach police officer,” by Veronica Rocha, Los Angeles Times, August 10, 2017 (thanks to The Religion of Peace):

The city of Long Beach has agreed to pay $85,000 to settle a federal lawsuit filed by a Muslim woman whose hijab was pulled off by a male officer while she was in police custody.

The settlement, approved Tuesday, concludes the legal battle undertaken by Kirsty Powell, an African American Muslim. Her lawsuit, filed in 2016, prompted the Long Beach Police Department to reverse its policy barring inmates from wearing religious head coverings.

“There really is no justification for taking off a person’s religious headgear,” said Powell’s attorney, Marwa Rifahie, who also works for the Greater Los Angeles Area Chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations.

The case started in May 2015 when Powell and her husband were stopped by two officers because he was driving a lowrider vehicle on Long Beach Boulevard, Rifahie said.

She provided them with her identification information. When officers ran her name through their database, they discovered she had three misdemeanor warrants for petty theft, vehicle theft and resisting arrest, police said.

Powell was not aware that a warrant had been issued for a 2002 petty theft offense, her attorney said. The other warrants were issued after Powell’s sister had falsely used her name, according to the federal lawsuit.

As officers prepared to arrest Powell, her husband requested that a female officer be called to the scene since physical contact must be done by a woman, the lawsuit contends.

The officers refused and handcuffed Powell, according to the suit. She was then told she would have to remove her hijab.

Powell told the officers “that she wears a hijab in accordance with her religious practice and that it is her legal right to wear it,” the lawsuit said.

She was driven to the Long Beach police station, where she was booked and stripped of her hijab in front of other male officers and inmates, according to the lawsuit.

Powell was detained for 24 hours without her hijab. Once she was allowed to leave, she was given a property bag containing it.

“She was held in the jail overnight, forced to sit in a cell feeling distraught, vulnerable and naked without her headscarf to everyone that passed,” the lawsuit said. “She cried throughout the ordeal and experienced humiliation when both her religious beliefs and personal integrity were violated. She felt that the male officers and male inmates had seen parts of her body that they should not have seen, according to her religious beliefs.”

Shortly after her release, Powell reached out to CAIR, the Muslim civil rights organization, to go over her options.

In April 2016, she filed the lawsuit, alleging that her 1st Amendment rights had been violated….

London Muslim slaughterer’s daughter refused to convert to Islam, wear a niqab

UK Prime Minister Theresa May said it would be wrong to describe Masood’s jihad attack as “Islamic” extremism. She said: “It is Islamist terrorism. It is a perversion of a great faith.”

But was there anything about Masood before his jihad massacre that would have identified him as an “Islamist” rather than as a Muslim? Was there any reason why anyone would not have identified him simply as a Muslim? Was he trying to convert Teegan Harvey to “Islamism,” as something distinct from Islam?

The answers to those questions are No, No, and No. And that illustrates why May’s distinction, and the terms “Islamist” and “Islamism,” are largely meaningless.

JIHAD DAUGHTER

Teegan Harvey, 18,

“Parliament terrorist’s daughter refused to wear a burqa,” by Mike Sullivan and Chris Pollard, The Sun, March 26, 2017:

Westminster killer Khalid Masood’s teenage daughter defied his orders to wear a burqa — and headed to a school prom night in a revealing backless dress.

Unlike her older sister, student Teegan Harvey, 18, refused to bow to pressure from fanatical Masood and convert to Islam.

Family friends said radicalized Muslim covert Masood, who killed four people and wounded more than 50 during an 82-second rampage in Westminster last week, demanded both his daughters become Muslims and don the veil.

Older sister Andi, now 24, converted to Islam six years ago and left her mum, Jane Harvey, and sister, Teegan, behind at their home in Tunbridge Wells, Kent, to move in with her dad and his new partner in Luton, Bedfordshire, about 35 miles north of London.

They later moved to Birmingham, where Andi is said to have been persuaded by Masood to cover herself in a burqa.

She is also reported to have changed her name to an Arabic one.

But younger daughter Teegan resisted her father’s demands to give up her Western lifestyle.

The teenage beauty posed for the camera in a revealing backless dress at a prom night in May last year for soon-to-be graduates of Tunbridge Wells Girls’ Grammar School.

She had earlier come under pressure from her father to convert to Islam after she turned 16.

Her mother, Jane, managing director of a chemicals company, fought desperately to prevent her younger daughter from joining her father.

Luke Lawrence, 23, close friends with Andi at school when she lived in Northiam, East Sussex, with both her parents and sister, said: “Jane was totally against the idea and wanted Teegan to remain with her.

“But Andi was older and could be very headstrong, so she just went off and did it anyway.”

Luke said Andi was popular and attractive and he couldn’t understand why she had gone to live with her “nutter” dad.

Masood had changed his name from Adrian Elms after converting to Islam while in prison awaiting trial for an alleged knife attack in 2003.

Luke said: “Andi was a lovely girl, but when she moved away to become a Muslim, she cut off contact with her friends here.

“She went off to live with her dad after he converted her. I’m not sure why she went with him, he was a nutter.

“Teegan stayed with her mum.”…

Andi is still living in Birmingham, where one friend of mum Jane said: “She wears a full face veil and I think she has changed her name. It was her father who had helped convert her.“He wanted the younger daughter to convert, but Jane was against it and there was quite a family struggle.

“I know Jane was very upset and wanted her to stay at home and continue her studies.”…

Alarming rise in acid attacks against Iranian women who are not properly veiled

Women who are not properly veiled: an outrage, a provocation. Dousing women with acid for being not properly veiled: pleasing to Allah.

“Alarming rates of acid attacks in Iran back on the rise,” Al Arabiya, March 20, 2017:

After almost a year of calm, spraying people with burning acid has returned in Iran where a family of four has been attacked on Saturday in Sharada, within Isfahan province, Iran’s top tourist destination.

Last month, unidentified people also attacked two women in Maashour, within the Ahwaz province, according to Iranian news agencies.

Isfahan’s Investigative Police Chief Sitar Khasraoui said in press statement that the families were taken to the hospital to treat the burns. The family consists of the father, 53, the mother, 48, the son, 23, and the daughter, 20. Both parents are said to be in critical condition….

Reports on social networks have claimed that the victims were doused on the face and body because they were not properly veiled. They were targeted by assailants on motorcycles.

Nike launches an oppressive symbol of Sharia law — the Hijab

The Independent in the United Kingdom first reported:

Nike is launching a high-performance hijab for Muslim athletes.

http://floridafamily.org/images/Nikehijab.jpgThe brand aims to inspire women and girls who face barriers in sport.

The hijab, which lacks specific derivation from the Qur’an, is a symbol of oppression that is pushed by strict adherents of Sharia law.  Sharia law is antithetical to the rights afforded under the United States Constitution.   There is little debate online as to whether the Qu’ran mandates hijabs because it does not.  Wearing a hijab is clearly driven by culture and custom and is not a religious requirement.  However, Islamists who want to Islamize America instead of assimilate into American culture are pushing these Sharia style customs.

Wearing the Hijab in Solidarity Perpetuates Oppression is the title of a column published on January 14, 2016 by The New York Times.  The column was written by two Muslim women Asra Q. Nomani and Hala Arafa.  The column states in part:  In the eight times the word hijab, or a derivative, appears in the Koran, it means a “barrier” or “curtain,” with spiritual, not sartorial, meaning. Today, well-intentioned women are wearing headscarves in interfaith “solidarity.” But, to us, they stand on the wrong side of a lethal war of ideas that sexually objectifies women as vessels for honor and temptation, absolving men of personal responsibility.   This purity culture covers, segregates, subordinates, silences, jails and kills women and girls around the world

“The Qur’an does not Mandate Hijab” writes Ibrahim B. Syed, Ph. D. President Islamic Research Foundation International, Inc.   “… as long as the dresses are not revealing or too tight, cultural variations can add tremendous diversity in the fulfillment of this guideline.  Hijab, a terminology that is NOT to be found in the Qur’an or Hadith in the context of dress code.”  Ibrahim Syed refers to Dr. Khaled Abou El Fadl’s studies of the Qur’an and Islamic law.  Dr. Khaled Abou El Fadl is an accomplished Islamic jurist and scholar, and a Professor of Law at the UCLA’s School of Law.  He previously taught Islamic law at the University of Texas, Yale Law School and Princeton University.   A high-ranking Shaykh, Dr. Abou El Fadl also received formal training in Islamic jurisprudence in Egypt and Kuwait.  Ibrahim Syed writes “Abou El Fadl argues that in contemporary Muslim societies people tend to become authoritative by imposing a single viewpoint to the total exclusion of others. Shariah (Islamic law) is then invoked to quash debate by people who are themselves not adequately qualified to do so.”

Pew Research found that only forty three percent (43%) of American Muslim women wear hijabs.  The majority of American Muslim women do NOT wear hijabs.    Rasmieyh Abdelnabi, 27, grew up attending an Islamic school in Bridgeview, Ill., a tiny Arab enclave on Chicago’s southwest side. It’s a place where most Muslim women wear the hijab.  Abdelnabi explains why she stopped wearing the hijab.  She says that Islam teaches modesty — but wearing the hijab is taking it a step too far.  “I’ve done my research, and I don’t feel its foundation is from Islam,” she says. “I think it comes from Arab culture.”

Clearly, Hijabs are an oppressive symbol of Sharia law.

Iranian posters threaten women with hellfire for not wearing hijab

Where are the feminists decrying this “slut-shaming”?

Behind this threat of hellfire is the ever-present threat of being brutalized or even killed for not wearing the hijab. What do feminists have to say about Aqsa Parvez, whose Muslim father choked her to death with her hijab after she refused to wear it? Or Aqsa and Amina Muse Ali, a Christian woman in Somalia whom Muslims murdered because she wasn’t wearing a hijab? Or the 40 women who were murdered in Iraq in 2007 for not wearing the hijab; or Alya Al-Safar, whose Muslim cousin threatened to kill her and harm her family because she stopped wearing the hijab in Britain; or Amira Osman Hamid, who faced whipping in Sudan for refusing to wear the hijab; or the Egyptian girl, also named Amira, who committed suicide after being brutalized for her family for refusing to wear the hijab; or the Muslim and non-Muslim teachers at the Islamic College of South Australia who were told that they had to wear the hijab or be fired; or the women in Chechnya whom police shot with paintballs because they weren’t wearing hijab; or the women also in Chechnya who were threatened by men with automatic rifles for not wearing hijab; or the elementary school teachers in Tunisia who were threatened with death for not wearing hijab; or the Syrian schoolgirls who were forbidden to go to school unless they wore hijab; or the women in Gaza whom Hamas has forced to wear hijab; or the women in Iran who protested against the regime by daring to take off their legally-required hijab; or the women in London whom Muslim thugs threatened to murder if they didn’t wear hijab; or the anonymous young Muslim woman who doffed her hijab outside her home and started living a double life in fear of her parents; or the fifteen girls in Saudi Arabia who were killed when the religious police wouldn’t let them leave their burning school building because they had taken off their hijabs in their all-female environment; or all the other women and girls who have been killed or threatened, or who live in fear for daring not to wear the hijab?

Who is standing in solidarity with them? Who speaks for them? No one. No one at all.

100 Muslims riot at migrant reception center over woman’s refusal to wear headscarf

The Belgian Secretary of State for Asylum, Migration and Administrative Simplification, Theo Francken, said: “I find it totally unacceptable that some young Afghans find it necessary to tell Syrian girls to wear a headscarf and that they should not dress like western girls. They come here, they are guests here. We are not theirs. They have to adapt to our rules.”

You’re saying that now, Francken? Are you aware that the migrants have no intention whatsoever of adapting to your rules? No, of course you don’t, and neither do your colleagues. And therein lies the problem.

“100 Riot In Migrant Reception Centre, Triggered By Woman’s Refusal To Wear A Head Scarf,” by Sarkis Zeronian, Breitbart, February 20, 2016:

11 people were arrested yesterday following a riot involving Syrians, Afghans and Iraqis which broke out over a dispute involving a Syrian woman refusing to wear a head scarf.

Those arrested following the riot at a migrant reception centre in Moorslede quarter of Leopoldsburg, Belgium, have now been removed, reports Het Laatste Nieuws. Red Cross spokeswoman, An Luyten, confirmed: “The four that were part of the core portion have been transferred to a detention centre. The seven others are individually housed and distributed in other reception centres in Flanders.”

The trigger for the riot, which saw the migrants using chairs, broomsticks and rubbish bins on each other, was a dispute over a Syrian woman’s refusal to wear a headscarf, reports Flanders News.

“Two or three Afghans had been targeting a young girl from Syria for a couple of days because she was not covering her head,” explained Ms. Luyten, “which is weird, because several other girls were also not wearing a headscarf. It is not clear why they were after this girl in particular.”…

“We are shocked by this massive brawl,” added Ms. Luyten, “it is also traumatic for the other asylum seekers, women and children. We honestly did not see this fight coming, although the arguments had apparently been going on for a few days.”…

There is a whole lot more you don’t see coming as well.

Secretary of State for Asylum, Migration and Administrative Simplification, Theo Francken, has spoken out about the riot, saying:

“I find it totally unacceptable that some young Afghans find it necessary to tell Syrian girls to wear a headscarf and that they should not dress like western girls.

“They come here, they are guests here. We are not theirs. They have to adapt to our rules.”

University of Missouri professor from Benghazi assaults Girl for not wearing Hijab

Youssif Z. Omar is not in Benghazi anymore, although surely the multiculturalists at the University of Missouri who insist that Sharia is benign and beautiful will rush to his defense — won’t they?

“University of Missouri assistant professor charged with ‘violently grabbing 14-year-old relative by the hair and dragging her out of school for not wearing hijab,’” by Kiri Blakeley, Dailymail.com, November 29, 2015 (thanks to Bulldog):

An assistant professor at an American university has been arrested for allegedly grabbing a 14-year-old female relative by the hair and dragging her into a car after he noticed she wasn’t wearing a hijab.

Youssif Z. Omar, 53, was reportedly at Hickman High School in Columbia, Missouri, on Tuesday when he spotted that the girl did not have the traditional Muslim headscarf.

Officer Latisha Stroer told the Columbia Tribune in an email that Omar grabbed the girl ‘very violently by the hair’.

He then allegedly slapped her across the face, and pulled her by the hair down and flight of stairs and into his car.

The next day, Omar was arrested on suspicion of child abuse while he was at his home on the 1700 block of Timber Creek Drive.

Omar’s LinkedIn page lists him as being an assistant professor at the University of Missouri, Columbia and manager of Artifacts Journal at the University bookstore.

His Facebook page says he’s married and originally from Benghazi, Libya. His LinkedIn profile says he was the head of the English department at the University of Benghazi Wahat Branch from 2003-2007….

Islamic State stones five women to death for not wearing the veil

Our moral superiors are very concerned about the right of Muslim women in Western countries to cover their heads. Barack Obama has affirmed this:

“Moreover, freedom in America is indivisible from the freedom to practice one’s religion. That is why there is a mosque in every state in our union, and over 1,200 mosques within our borders. That’s why the United States government has gone to court to protect the right of women and girls to wear the hijab and to punish those who would deny it.” — Obama, Cairo, June 4, 2009

But what about the right of women and girls not to wear the hijab or any other head covering, and to go out with faces unveiled? Who is speaking up for the rights of Aqsa Parvez, whose Muslim father choked her to death with her hijab after she refused to wear it; and of Amina Muse Ali, a Christian woman in Somalia whom Muslims murdered because she wasn’t wearing a hijab; and of the 40 women who were murdered in Iraq in 2007 for not wearing the hijab; and of Alya Al-Safar, whose Muslim cousin threatened to kill her and harm her family because she stopped wearing the hijab in Britain; and of Amira Osman Hamid, who faces whipping in Sudan for refusing to wear the hijab; and of the Egyptian girl, also named Amira, who committed suicide after being brutalized for her family for refusing to wear the hijab; and of the Muslim and non-Muslim teachers at the Islamic College of South Australia who were told that they had to wear the hijab or be fired; and of the women in Chechnya whom police shot with paintballs because they weren’t wearing hijab; and of the women also in Chechnya who were threatened by men with automatic rifles for not wearing hijab; and of the elementary school teachers in Tunisia who were threatened with death for not wearing hijab; and of the Syrian schoolgirls who were forbidden to go to school unless they wore hijab; and of the women in Gaza whom Hamas has forced to wear hijab; and of the women in Iran who protested against the regime by daring to take off their legally-required hijab; and of the women in London whom Muslim thugs threatened to murder if they didn’t wear hijab; and of the anonymous young Muslim woman who doffed her hijab outside her home and started living a double life in fear of her parents, and all the other women and girls who have been killed or threatened, or who live in fear for daring not to wear the hijab.

When will anyone stand in solidarity with them? Women who don’t wear hijab in Muslim countries are far more likely to be victims of violence than hijabis in the West. Who speaks for them?
