VIDEO: Muslim deliberately plows car into Moscow crowd, eight injured

Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said: “The driver lost control of the vehicle.”

Watch the video. This driver didn’t lose control. He clearly plowed deliberately into the pedestrians.

The Islamic State issued this call in September 2014:

So O muwahhid, do not let this battle pass you by wherever you may be. You must strike the soldiers, patrons, and troops of the tawaghit. Strike their police, security, and intelligence members, as well as their treacherous agents. Destroy their beds. Embitter their lives for them and busy them with themselves. If you can kill a disbelieving American or European — especially the spiteful and filthy French — or an Australian, or a Canadian, or any other disbeliever from the disbelievers waging war, including the citizens of the countries that entered into a coalition against the Islamic State, then rely upon Allah, and kill him in any manner or way however it may be….If you are not able to find an IED or a bullet, then single out the disbelieving American, Frenchman, or any of their allies. Smash his head with a rock, or slaughter him with a knife, or run him over with your car, or throw him down from a high place, or choke him, or poison him….

The Islamic State recently called for lone wolf jihad attacks at the World Cup.

“Taxi plows into Moscow crowd including soccer fans, hurts eight,” by Jack Stubbs and Gabrielle Tétrault-Farber, Reuters, June 16, 2018:

MOSCOW (Reuters) – A taxi drove into a crowd of pedestrians near Moscow’s Red Square on Saturday, injuring eight people including two Mexicans in the city for the soccer World Cup which Russia is hosting, officials and eyewitnesses said.

The incident took place as residents and visiting soccer fans thronged the center of Moscow on a balmy summer evening.

Moscow’s traffic management authority said the taxi driver had a driver’s license issued in Kyrgyzstan, a mainly Muslim ex-Soviet republic. It cited the driver, who was in police custody, as saying he had not driven into the crowd on purpose.

Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said in a post on Twitter: “There was an unpleasant incident with a taxi. The driver lost control of the vehicle.”…

FBI: 1,000 homegrown jihad terror investigations active in U.S., not counting Islamic State and al-Qaeda suspects

“Outreach to the community.” Yeah, that’ll work. Hasn’t it worked beautifully since 9/11?

Meanwhile, hampering these investigations is the fact that even now, the clueless and compromised FBI includes no study of the motivating ideology of jihad terrorists in its counterterror training. It is working in the dark, and the consequences will inevitably be…explosive.

“FBI Director: 1,000 Homegrown Terror Investigations Active, Not Counting ‘Traditional’ ISIS, al-Qaeda Suspects,” by Bridget Johnson, PJ Media, May 17, 2018 (thanks to The Religion of Peace):

WASHINGTON — FBI Director Christopher Wray told a Senate Appropriations subcommittee on Wednesday that the bureau is tracking several hundred homegrown terror suspects, not counting those linked to a terror group or domestic extremist groups such as white supremacists.

“In every state in the nation who have been inspired by ISIS or al-Qaeda or similar groups, and radicalize, no longer by traveling to training camps, but via the internet through videos, or private chat rooms, or other means. How is the FBI countering that threat?” Sen. Susan Collins (R-Maine) asked at the Commerce, Justice, Science, and Related Agencies Subcommittee hearing to examine the FBI’s annual budget request. “It seems to be very difficult to identify these individuals.”

Wray told the senator she put her finger “on what I would call sort of our highest counterterrorism priority at the moment.”

“We have about 1,000 investigations into exactly the kind of people you’re describing, covering all 50 states as I’m sitting here right now. And that’s not even counting, you know, the al-Qaeda investigations, the traditional ISIS investigations, the domestic terrorism investigations, but just the group you’re talking about,” he said.

“And what makes it so hard is that there are not many dots to connect with some of these people. They pick soft targets, they use easy to use weapons, you know, IEDs, cars, knives, guns. And they can make decisions on the spur of the moment. We’re trying to get better at looking for red flags, as to when people who are getting radicalized sort of make that switch into potentially mobilizing.”

Wray said trying to stop homegrown extremists includes a lot of “outreach to the community, partnership with our state and local law enforcement who know those communities better, but it’s hard.”…

PARIS: Muslim ‘Allahu akbar’ knifeman was migrant from Chechnya, was on watch list

What good is a watch list if no one is watching the people on it? Or are there just too many for French authorities to keep track of them all? The latter is a stated goal of the Islamic State: to overwhelm Western police and intelligence apparatuses, until they collapse. They’re well on their way to succeeding in doing this in France.

An update on this story. “Paris knife attack: Suspect ‘French citizen born in Russia’s Chechnya,’” BBC, May 13, 2018:

The suspect in a deadly knife attack in central Paris on Saturday evening is a French citizen born in 1997 in Russia’s republic of Chechnya, sources say.

Named by media as Khamzat Asimov, he was on a French watch list of people who could pose a threat to national security, the sources said.

Police shot dead the attacker in the busy Opéra district after he killed a man and injured four other people.

The Islamic State (IS) group said it was behind the attack.

French President Emmanuel Macron tweeted (in French): “France has once again paid in blood, but will not give an inch to the enemies of freedom.”

France has been on high alert following a series of attacks. More than 230 people have been killed by IS-inspired jihadists in the past three years.
What do we know about the attacker?

The suspect was not carrying any identification papers and has not yet been officially named.

Sources told French media the man had no criminal record and his parents had been held for questioning. He is believed to be a French citizen who was naturalised in 2010….

Muslims from Syria caught sneaking across Texas border from Mexico

Border Patrol agents in the Laredo Sector are sounding the alarm after they recently apprehended two Syrian nationals who illegally crossed the border from Mexico into South Texas. The agents say the arrest of the Syrians confirms there is a human smuggling pipeline from countries with connections to terrorism into the U.S.

This is not a new problem. In November 2015, Jihad Watch reported that eight Syrians were caught at the Texas border in Laredo. U.S. Border Patrol Agent Hector Garza stated:

If the cartel-connected smugglers can bring people with good intentions across the border, they can also bring people with bad intentions.

While the so-called “far right” continues to suffer blame for trying to warn Westerners about the global jihad, those who downplay or deny the jihad threat will surely attribute good intentions to these Syrians, as they did in blindly welcoming in anyone and everyone, including jihadists and Islamic State infiltrators, into Europe.

Despite the relentless and ruthless criticism that Trump has received for prioritizing border control, the dangers to North America from illegal immigration continue to mount. Already, about 400 illegals a day are expected to pour into Canada at the Quebec border this summer; they will be resettled in major cities like Toronto.

“Agents Sound Alarm on Syrians Caught Sneaking Across Texas Border,” by Bob Price, Breitbart, May 10, 2018:

Border Patrol agents in the Laredo Sector are sounding the alarm after they recently apprehended two Syrian nationals who illegally crossed the border from Mexico into South Texas. The agents say the arrest of the Syrians confirms there is a human smuggling pipeline from countries with connections to terrorism into the U.S.

“We don’t know the intentions of the two Syrians we caught sneaking across the border into Texas,” U.S. Border Patrol Agent Hector Garza told Breitbart Texas in his capacity as president of the National Border Patrol Council 2455. “What we do know is that if the cartel-connected smugglers can bring people with good intentions across the border, they can also bring people with bad intentions.”

The two Syrian nationals apprehended on May 7, crossed the border in the same part of Laredo as nearly 230 Bangladeshi nationals have been apprehended. Garza explained that all drug and human smuggling in this area is controlled by the Los Zetas cartel.

“Laredo is a prime target for these ruthless smugglers because of our sector’s shortage of manpower and the lack of a physical barrier,” Garza explained in an interview with Breitbart Texas on Thursday. “We have 170 miles of river border with Mexico. Not one mile of that border has a physical barrier. We are wide open for these drug and human smugglers.”…..

ISIS ‘is driving mass migration from Africa to send jihadists into Europe’

In February, the Islamic State warned us that they would send half a million Muslim migrants into Europe — an army against the West. The hijrah. In May 2015, I further reported that the Islamic State was smuggling large numbers of Muslim “migrants” into Europe and making a fortune doing it. And in July 2015, I warned that hundreds of ISIS members planned on infiltrating Europe, together with masses of refugees from Libya, Syria, and Iraq. They did, and horror ensued: the savage attacks in Paris, Nice, Brussels, Berlin, mass rapes across the continent, while outdoor markets, music festivals, fairs, etc. are choice targets for jihad murder. Europe is forever changed, and not for the good.

Leftist elite authoritarians, responsible for the ongoing catastrophe, scoffed at our warnings. Instead, they defamed and libeled my colleagues and me, while fictionalizing what was/is essentially the invasion of Europe.

Clear-thinking Americans saw what was happening in Europe, saw that the Democrats wanted that same horror for us, and took action — President Trump. Thank heavens. Pay heed, 2020 is just around the corner, and the Democrats have declared war. What better way to achieve their goals than by importing an army?

ISIS ‘is driving migration from Africa to send jihadists into Europe’: Senior UN figure warns – ‘If destabilising Syria was bad, wait until a region with 500 million people is destabilised’

  • Fleeing ISIS leaders are ‘joining forces with fanatics in Africa’s Sahel region’
  • Head of UN World Food Programme said extremists could drive a migration wave
  • David Beasley warned jihadists could then ‘infiltrate’ Europe ‘and cause chaos’
  • Sahel spans 3,360 miles across Africa from the Atlantic Ocean to the Red Sea

By Julian Robinson for MailOnline, 26 April 2018:

ISIS leaders fleeing the Middle East are planning to drive migration from Africa in a fresh bid to send jihadists into Europe, a senior UN figure has warned.

The militants are joining forces with fanatics in Africa’s Sahel region, according to David Beasley, head of the UN World Food Programme and a former Republican governor of South Carolina.

He warned terror factions could then exploit the area’s food crisis to push millions from the region in a migration wave that could dwarf the exodus from war-torn Syria in 2015.

‘My comment to the Europeans is that if you think you had a problem resulting from a nation of 20 million people like Syria because of destabilisation and conflict resulting in migration, wait until the greater Sahel region of 500 million people is further destabilised,’ Mr Beasley said.

‘And this is where the European community and international community has got to wake up,’ he told the Guardian’s Daniel Boffey.

Mr Beasley warned that the likes of Boko Haram and al-Qaeda are partnering with ISIS commanders who have fled from Syria in recent years and that extremists will ‘continue to infiltrate and destabilise in the hope of creating migration into Europe where they can infiltrate and cause chaos.’

The Sahel spans 3,360 miles from the Atlantic in the west to the Red Sea in the east in a belt stretching up to 600 miles wide.

Countries in in the region include parts of Senegal, southern Mauritania, central Mali, northern Burkina Faso, the extreme south of Algeria, Niger, and the extreme north of Nigeria.

In the past, David Beasley (pictured) has argued that a comprehensive plan for economic development could be the key to long-term stability and increased food security in the Sahel region

It also includes central Chad, central and southern Sudan, the extreme north of South Sudan, Eritrea, Cameroon, Central African Republic and the extreme north of Ethiopia.

In the past, Mr Beasley has argued that a comprehensive plan for economic development could be the key to long-term stability and increased food security in the Sahel region.

He has said that the World Food Programme sees food as ‘a weapon of peace, as a weapon of reconciliation, as a weapon for sustainable development. But we must get our act together. We must think holistically and not in our own silos.’

Mr Beasley, who showed support for Donald Trump during his Presidential campaign, has been attending a summit on Syria in Brussels.

During the meeting, International donors pledged $4.4 billion in aid for 2018 for civilians caught up in the Syrian civil war – well short of what the UN says is needed for humanitarian work in Syria and neighbouring countries.

ISIS militants are joining forces with fanatics in Africa’s Sahel region, according to David Beasley, head of the UN World Food Programme and a former Republican governor of South Carolina

The sum committed at a two-day conference in Brussels was less than half of the $9 billion the United Nations says is needed this year to help those in need inside Syria and living as refugees in neighbouring countries.

Mr Beasley warned that without proper funding he would be forced to start cutting rations ‘to just barely keep people alive’.

Some 6.1 million people are now internally displaced in Syria, more than five million have fled the country and 13 million including six million children are in need of aid, according to the UN.

More than 700,000 people have been displaced since the start of this year alone as Assad has stepped up his offensive against rebel forces, intensifying the humanitarian crisis.

Islamic State (ISIS) ex-emir hiding among migrants en route to Europe

And millions more are expected. Europe is dead, long live Eurabia.

DAESH EX-EMIR HIDING AMONG MIGRANTS EN ROUTE TO EUROPE ARRESTED IN TURKEY

Daesh ex-emir hiding among migrants en route to Europe arrested in Turkey

Turkish authorities have announced that they have arrested Kasir al-Haddawi, a relative of Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, and an ex-emir of ISIS in Deir ez-Zor, according to the Sunday Times. He reportedly tried to merge with Syrian refugees to reach Greece.

Kasir al-Haddawi, a former “emir” of Daesh in the province of Deir ez-Zor, now controlled by Syrian authorities , was captured on 27 April by security forces in the city of Izmir, according to Turkish authorities quoted by the British newspaper The Sunday Times .

He was reportedly arrested while hiding among a group of Syrian refugees who planned to embark on a boat to reach Greece. Three other members of ISIS have been arrested with him, according to Turkish media.

The Turkish authorities say that Kasir al-Haddawi is close to the head of the Islamic State, Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, whose death has been announced several times without being confirmed . The Turkish news agency Anadolu claims that Kasir al-Haddawi is responsible for the massacre of 700 civilians in Deir ez-Zor when he was acting as “emir” of the jihadist group.

The question of the exploitation of migrant flows to Europe by jihadist organizations has been a problem for European leaders for several years. As early as July 2016, German Chancellor Angela Merkel – who had decided in 2015 to host about a million migrants in her country – had said that the waves of migration were being exploited by terrorist groups to bring in some of their men. In fact, several attacks in Europe in recent years have been committed by individuals who have applied for asylum in countries where they have acted. This is the case of the perpetrators of the Berlin or Hamburg attacks , committed in December 2016 and July 2017 respectively. Another example: in June 2017, the Italian police arrested an Iraqi asylum seeker who was planning an attack.

FBI to Judge: Dismiss lawsuit before the public learns details about the ISIS attack in Texas

The Judge could grant dismissal of the lawsuit. So it is pointless to ask about our alleged role in the jihad attack, says the Federal Bureau of Investigation in its own defense, through its mouthpiece, the Department of Justice.

But the FBI failed to state a court rule, statute or “good cause” to prevent all discovery, responds the Plaintiff.

This lawsuit’s allegations are detailed in a previous article on the Geller Report here.1

Arguments concern whether to immediately conduct discovery – interrogatories, requests to produce, depositions, etc. – concurrent with a pending Motion to Dismiss. The following are excerpts of the USA / FBI’s Motion 2 and Memorandum [DM/pg];3 Plaintiff’s Response [PR/pg];4 and the USA / FBI’s Reply [DR/pg].5

USA / FBI’s Motion for Relief

The Motion seeks “to relieve the parties from the reporting requirements set forth in the Court’s order dated January 16, 2018…, to abstain from entering a scheduling order, and for a stay of discovery while the United States’ motion to dismiss … is pending.”

USA / FBI’s Memorandum

“Plaintiff alleges that he was shot in the leg while working as a security guard at an event called the ‘First Annual Muhammad Art Exhibit and Contest’ at the Curtis Culwell Center in Garland, Texas on May 3, 2015 (‘the event’). The shooting occurred when Elton Simpson and Nadir Soofi, whom Plaintiff describes as ‘two members of the international terrorist organization ISIS,’ attempted to carry out a mass-shooting at the event.” [DM/1-2]

“[A]s a practical matter, it is especially difficult (and unnecessary) at this juncture for case management deadlines to be set, given that the parties’ briefing on the sovereign immunity issue is not yet complete and it is thus unknown when the issue will be resolved … If the motion [to dismiss] is granted, then the need for a scheduling order will no longer exist. Alternatively, if the motion is denied or granted in part, this Court’s ruling may reduce the number of claims and narrow the scope of discovery.” [DM/4]

“Staying discovery in this action while the motion to dismiss is pending is more than simply appropriate – it is necessary to preserve the United States’ sovereign immunity.” [DM/5]

“A stay of discovery is especially justified here given the nature of the information likely to be sought during discovery by Plaintiff. On its face, the Complaint makes clear that it challenges alleged Government conduct [the FBI] taken during the course of a national security counterterrorism investigation. As such, there is a strong likelihood that much of the information Plaintiff will seek from the FBI is classified and law enforcement sensitive information over which the Government will assert claims of privilege to prevent its disclosure. To be sure, in pending federal criminal proceedings related to the events at issue in this case, the Government continues to protect such information from disclosure.” [DM/6-7]

The counter-terrorism investigation, particularly concerning the jihad attack here, has resulted in criminal proceedings against three defendants: (1) Erick Jamal Hendricks, who will be tried in March, 2018;6 (2) Abdul Khabir Wahid, who will be tried in May, 2018;7 and (3) Abdul Malik Abdul Kareem, who was convicted in February, 2017, but he has a pending appeal.8

Plaintiff’s Response

“The purpose of pre-dismissal discovery is to find factual support for a plaintiff’s argument that the conduct at issue is not discretionary, and thus not covered by the discretionary function exception.” [PR/7, fn1]

“If Congress had intended for a stay on discovery to be imposed anytime Defendant raises the discretionary function exception in a motion to dismiss, then some federal rule [of court procedure] or statute would say so.” [PR/8]

“Given that no Scheduling Conference has even been held, and no discovery requests have even been sent, Defendant’s Motion to Stay is premature–as it cannot yet determine whether it will suffer ‘annoyance, embarrassment, oppression, or undue burden or expense’ by proceeding as usual. If Defendant receives specific discovery requests that are oppressive or pose an undue burden to respond to–then Defendant can object to those particular requests. Defendant is also free to invoke privilege when any information requested by Plaintiff is subject to privilege. But insisting on a blanket stay of all discovery–when no good cause has been definitively demonstrated–goes too far. Defendant has not met its ‘heavy burden’ and demonstrated good cause to sidestep the general rule in favor of discovery.” [PR/5-6]

“Even if the Court were to find some merit in Defendant’s Motion to Dismiss, Plaintiff would likely be allowed an opportunity to amend its pleadings to cure any defects.” [PR/6]

USA / FBI’s Reply

“The burden of going through the painstaking process of reviewing such materials in response to a discovery request is, quite frankly, self-evident. Placing such a burden on the FBI, which already bears a heavy workload dealing with discovery in numerous legal actions throughout the country as well as Congressional requests, is the very sort of intrusion into sovereign immunity that should be avoided until the threshold legal issues are decided.” [DR/2].

U.S. Taxpayers are owed explanations for the FBI’s alleged action or inaction

What do the majority of mass shootings have in common? All levels of government, particularly the FBI, apparently did not “connect the dots” and therefore “dropped the ball” to prevent the attacks.

Hypothetical: Entrapment is not a defense when the perpetrator was predisposed to commit the crime. However, consider: Is an undercover law enforcement officer considered a co-conspirator if his words originatethe crime, and his acts contribute to the crime?

As this Complaint alleges:

“[On] (May 2, 2015), Hendricks and UCE-1 again chatted online about the upcoming Garland event. Hendricks wrote, ‘I wish someone could go to tx and harass them during the night;’ ‘a good solid protest;’ and ‘Unique one man protest.’ After Hendricks explained that he was unable to go because he was on the no-fly list and it was ‘too much driving,’ UCE-1 then volunteered to go. UCE-1 then asked, ‘Just me or any other brothers?’ Hendricks responded, ‘See what you and bro [Simpson] can do,’ and added that Simpson ‘has another brother he knows’ (presumably Soofi). Hendricks then provided ICE-1 with Simpson’s alternate Twitter contact.” [Complaint ¶ 34].

Assume the above is true and consider: But-for the FBI’s undercover agent effectively having “green-lighted” the attack, and offered himself to go and facilitate it, would there have been a jihad attack in Garland, Texas? If not, then Plaintiff – a security guard – would not have been shot, and suffer emotional distress.

President Obama did more than seek to protect Islam as a minority religion in the United States. His words and deeds advocated for, and promoted, Islam.

The Department of Justice, and the Federal Bureau of Investigation, are under the Executive branch. The FBI ostensibly has provided briefings to the President. Using every scandal’s inquiry: What did President Obama know, and when did he know it?

Germany: ‘Refugee’ Terrorist Admits He was Sent by ISIS, Told to Wait for Instructions

You’ve probably seen the news, but I wanted to be sure it was in my archives and it fits with other news I have to share this morning.

Invasion of Europe news…..

From Breitbart (hat tip: Joanne, others):

Three Syrian migrants are currently on trial in Hamburg for being members of a terrorist cell and one of the men has admitted that the Islamic State terror organisation sent him to Germany telling him to disguise himself as a refugee.

The three Syrians, aged between 19 and 27, came to Germany during the migrant crisis in 2015 and were arrested in September of 2016 at asylum homes in Ahrensburg, Großhansdorf and Reinbek near Hamburg, Suddeutsche Zeitung reports.

For the last eight months, the judges in the court have tried to determine whether or not the men were sent by the Islamic State, or whether they were radicalised independently.

The eldest defendant, 27-year-old Mohamed A., confirmed to the judge that he had been commanded by the Islamic State terror group to infiltrate the wave of refugees and wait in Germany for further instructions.

The 27-year-old said that he trained with the terror group in its former capital of Raqqa for three months with four different weapons before heading to Europe. An Islamic State member also gave him a forged passport along with a sum of $1,500.

American flag destroyed, replaced with ISIS flag at Utah high school

“Images of the ISIS flag were then sent to the FBI for analysis.”

Considering that the FBI wouldn’t know jihad terrorism from a hole in the ground, that isn’t exactly reassuring.

“[B]ased on information we received from the FBI we do not believe this act was perpetrated by someone linked to the Islamic State,” Hurricane PD said in a statement.

Sure, it could well be some kids playing a prank. But the deeply corrupt and compromised FBI is bound as a matter of policy not to study Islam and jihad in connection with terrorism. It is extremely unlikely that it has anyone on this case who would be competent to distinguish a prank by some non-Muslim kids from a genuine ISIS threat. They’re more likely saying this to avoid alarming the public. But are there Muslims in Utah? Of course. Could there be Islamic State jihadis among them? Is there anything that would possibly prevent that?

“American flag destroyed, replaced with ‘ISIS flag’ at Utah high school,” Fox News, February 16, 2018:

Vandal tears down American flag at Hurricane High School in Utah and replaces it with ISIS flag.

An American flag at a high school in Southwest Utah was found destroyed and replaced with an ISIS flag Thursday, Fox 13 reported.

An unknown perpetrator had taken down the flag at Hurricane High School, which is in the Washington County School District, and replaced it with “what looked like a flag used by ISIS,” police said.

The American flag was left shredded at the scene. The words “ISIS is COMI” had been spray-painted on a wall on the school’s east side, KUTV reported….

Authorities released a statement saying school employees have replaced the “ISIS flag” with a new American flag, and removed the graffiti. Images of the ISIS flag were then sent to the FBI for analysis.

“[B]ased on information we received from the FBI we do not believe this act was perpetrated by someone linked to the Islamic State,” Hurricane PD said in a statement. “This investigation is ongoing and investigators will continue to follow-up on leads.”

Afghanistan publishes ‘undeniable’ proof ISIS, Taliban trained in Pakistan

Afghanistan has provided what it claims to be proof to Islamabad that the Islamic State and Taliban attackers who killed about 200 people on Afghan soil over the last month trained and planned the assaults in Pakistan.

Pakistan has long provided a safe haven to the Taliban and other jihadist and criminal organisations, leading President Trump to “put Pakistan on notice.”

It is long overdue for Pakistan to be recognized as the state sponsor of terrorism that it is. It recently condemned a US drone strike that killed two Islamic jihadis, signalling that it is no friend and ally to America.

Despite what is known about Pakistan, Afghanistan is no better, being itself a base for terrorists. In fact the two trouble spots have a kind of symbiotic relationship, as Pakistan harbours its terrorists in Afghanistan according to intelligence sources.

“Afghanistan Publishes ‘Undeniable’ Proof Islamic State, Taliban Jihadis Trained in Pakistan”, by Edwin Mora, Breitbart, February 1, 2018:

Afghanistan has provided what it claims to be proof to Islamabad that the Islamic State (ISIS/ISIL) and Taliban attackers who killed about 200 people on Afghan soil over the last month trained and planned the assaults in Pakistan.

The Associated Press (AP) reports:

The Afghan officials said some of the latest evidence came from confessions by captured militants. They said they told the Pakistani side that some of the militants had been trained at Islamic seminaries in the Pakistani border town of Chaman.

Earlier in the week, Afghanistan’s U.N. envoy Mahmoud Saikal tweeted that the father of one of the insurgents involved in the bloody Jan. 20 assault on Kabul’s Intercontinental Hotel “conceded his son was trained in Chaman” by Pakistan’s InterServices Intelligence [ISI].

Echoing the Pentagon, Wais Ahmed Barmak, the interior minister in Afghanistan, also unveiled evidence, including confessions, that purportedly show Pakistan allows Taliban leaders to “roam freely” on its territory, notes AP.

On Thursday, Barmak and Afghanistan’s spy chief Masoom Stanekzai spoke to reporters, saying Afghanistan handed “undeniable” evidence to Pakistan showing that the recent spate of attacks was planned on Pakistani soil, reports the Agence France-Presse (AFP) news agency.

The attacks, which reportedly killed about 200 people, were apparently “planned from across the border,” declared Stanekzai, adding, “We asked Pakistan to hand over the culprits of the attacks in Afghanistan, and we shared undeniable evidence that the attacks were planned there.”

Afghanistan’s interior minister told reporters Kabul presented evidence to Pakistan during a meeting in Islamabad on Wednesday.

The Pakistani embassy in Kabul said the evidence provided by Afghan spy chief Stanekzai was “being examined for its authenticity.”

“Pakistan has not given any commitment to give [a] reply to the information received from the NDS [National Directorate of Security] Chief Mohammad Masoom Stanekzai,” the embassy said in a statement, reports TOLO News.

Islamabad has reportedly condemned the recent deadly attacks in Afghanistan.

During a visit to the Islamabad-based Afghan embassy, Pakistani Foreign Minister Khawaja Asif said his country “strongly condemns terrorism in all forms and manifestations,” points out AFP.

He added that, during Wednesday’s bilateral meeting, the two countries “agreed to work together to strengthen mutual trust and bilateral engagement.”

The revelations that the recent attackers planned the deadly assaults in Afghanistan from Pakistan come as the U.S.-NATO mission recently conceded that the Taliban continues to expand its influence in Afghanistan where it now controls or contests about 45 percent of the country.

Late last year, the United Nations also reported that the Taliban’s rival—the Islamic State branch in Afghanistan known as the Khorasan province (ISIS-K)—is growing and has extended its jihadi tentacles to seven provinces in recent months.

“Nearly 200 people have been killed over the past month in attacks claimed by the Taliban and a rival Islamic State [IS] affiliate,” reports AP.

U.S. President Donald Trump’s administration is expected to suspend about $2 billion in security aid to Islamabad over Pakistan’s reluctance to take decisive action against jihadists who operate on its soil and are fighting against American troops and their allies in Afghanistan, namely the Afghan Taliban and its al-Qaeda-linked ally, the Haqqani Network.

In its most recent assessment of the more than 16-year-old Afghanistan war issued in December, the Pentagon notes that Pakistan remains a “sanctuary” for terrorists, adding:

The Afghanistan-Pakistan border region remains a sanctuary for various groups, including al- Qa’ida, al-Qa’ida in the Indian Subcontinent (AQIS), the Haqqani Network, Lashkar-e- Tayyiba, Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), ISIS-K, and the Islamic Movement of Uzbekistan.

Sanctuary on the Pakistani side and presence on the Afghan side remain security challenges for both countries and pose a threat to regional security and stability.

The Pentagon considers the Haqqani Network, blamed for at least one of the recent deadly attacks in Afghanistan, to be the primary threat facing U.S. troops and their allies.

Islamabad has repeatedly denied that it harbors jihadist, but it has acknowledged that it holds some influence over the Afghan Taliban.

Afghanistan and Pakistan have long accused one another of supporting terrorists…..
