PARIS: Muslim ‘Allahu akbar’ knifeman was migrant from Chechnya, was on watch list

What good is a watch list if no one is watching the people on it? Or are there just too many for French authorities to keep track of them all? The latter is a stated goal of the Islamic State: to overwhelm Western police and intelligence apparatuses, until they collapse. They’re well on their way to succeeding in doing this in France.

An update on this story. “Paris knife attack: Suspect ‘French citizen born in Russia’s Chechnya,’” BBC, May 13, 2018:

The suspect in a deadly knife attack in central Paris on Saturday evening is a French citizen born in 1997 in Russia’s republic of Chechnya, sources say.

Named by media as Khamzat Asimov, he was on a French watch list of people who could pose a threat to national security, the sources said.

Police shot dead the attacker in the busy Opéra district after he killed a man and injured four other people.

The Islamic State (IS) group said it was behind the attack.

French President Emmanuel Macron tweeted (in French): “France has once again paid in blood, but will not give an inch to the enemies of freedom.”

France has been on high alert following a series of attacks. More than 230 people have been killed by IS-inspired jihadists in the past three years.
What do we know about the attacker?

The suspect was not carrying any identification papers and has not yet been officially named.

Sources told French media the man had no criminal record and his parents had been held for questioning. He is believed to be a French citizen who was naturalised in 2010….

Iowa Catholic University Opens Islamic Prayer Room. When Will A Mosque Open A Chapel?

The Geller Report brought you the story on Thursday: according to The College Fix, “a Catholic university in Davenport, Iowa recently opened a prayer space dedicated to Islamic worship…The prayer room, developed by a senior of St. Ambrose University in collaboration with its Saudi Student Association, is designed ‘specifically for students of the Islamic faith.’”

The room has been elaborately prepared: it features “‘sinks for ritual foot-washing,’ as well as ‘separate areas for male and female worshippers, since Islamic tradition calls for different prayer areas for each sex.’”

How wonderfully ecumenical and broadminded! When will the local Islamic school open a chapel for Christian students? What’s that? It doesn’t work that way? Why not?

Meanwhile, this is the sort of thing that the Muslim students will be praying in their dedicated prayer room at St. Ambrose University:

Jesus is not the Son of God and belief in the Trinity is “excess”: “O People of the Book! Do not exaggerate in your religion nor utter anything concerning Allah save the truth. The Messiah, Jesus son of Mary, was only a messenger of Allah, and his word which he conveyed to Mary, and a spirit from him. So believe in Allah and His messengers, and do not say ‘Three.’ Cease! It is better for you! Allah is only One Allah. It is far removed from his transcendent majesty that he should have a son. His is all that is in the heavens and all that is in the earth. And Allah is sufficient as Defender.” — Qur’an 4:171

And: “It is not befitting to Allah that he should beget a son. Glory be to him! When He determines a matter, he only says to it, ‘Be,’ and it is.” — Qur’an 19:35

Jesus was not crucified: “And because of their saying: We killed the Messiah, Jesus son of Mary, Allah’s messenger – they did not kill him or crucify him, but it appeared so to them; and those who disagree concerning it are in doubt about it; they have no knowledge of it except pursuit of a conjecture; they did not kill him for certain.” — Qur’an 4:157

Those who believe in the divinity of Christ are unbelievers: “They have certainly disbelieved who say that Allah is Christ, the son of Mary.” — Qur’an 5:17 (cf. 5:72)

Christians have forgotten part of the divine revelations they received: “From those, too, who call themselves Christians, We did take a covenant, but they forgot a good part of the message that was sent them: so we estranged them, with enmity and hatred between the one and the other, to the day of judgment. And soon will Allah show them what it is they have done.” — Qur’an 5:14

Those who believe that Jesus is God’s Son are accursed: “The Jews call Ezra a son of Allah, and the Christians call Christ the son of Allah. That is a saying from their mouth; they but imitate what the unbelievers of old used to say. Allah’s curse be on them: how they are deluded away from the Truth! ” — Qur’an 9:30

Christians who do not accepted Muhammad and the Qur’an are the most vile of created beings: “Nor did those who were given the Scripture become divided until after there had come to them clear evidence. And they were not commanded except to worship Allah, sincere to Him in religion, inclining to truth, and to establish prayer and to give zakah. And that is the correct religion. Indeed, they who disbelieved among the People of the Book and the polytheists will be in the fire of Hell, abiding eternally therein. Those are the most vile of created beings.” — Qur’an 98:6

Muslims must fight against and subjugate Christians: “Fight those who believe not in Allah nor the Last Day, nor hold that forbidden what has been forbidden by Allah and His Messenger, nor acknowledge the religion of Truth, of the People of the Book, until they pay the Jizya with willing submission, and feel themselves subdued.” — Qur’an 9:29

Also, a hadith has Muhammad predicting that Jesus will return at the end of the world and break the cross, as it is an insult to Allah’s power to say that he would have allowed one of his prophets to be crucified:

Narrated Abu Huraira: Allah’s Apostle said, “By Him in Whose Hands my soul is, son of Mary [Jesus] will shortly descend amongst you people [Muslims] as a just ruler and will break the Cross and kill the pig and abolish the Jizya [a tax taken from the non-Muslims, who are in the protection, of the Muslim government]. Then there will be abundance of money and nobody will accept charitable gifts. (Bukhari 3.34.425)

Muslims have sometimes taken this to mean not just that crosses will be destroyed in the end times, but that they should be now. In Spain in 2015, Muslims broke into a church, spray-painted “Allah” on wall, and destroyed the crucifix. In Pakistan in 2014, Muslims destroyed a church that was under construction, and desecrated the cross. When the Islamic State occupied Mosul, it made destruction of all crosses in the city a top priority.

And here’s my favorite New Testament verse, this time referring to St. Ambrose University: “Leave them; they are blind guides. And if a blind man leads a blind man, both will fall into a pit.” (Matthew 15:14)

Islamic Supremacist Muslim with ties to jihad terror group running as Democrat for Congress in Massachuettes

Amatul-Wadud is a “board member for the Massachusetts Council of American-Islamic Relations.” CAIR is an unindicted co-conspirator in a Hamas terror funding case — so named by the Justice Department. CAIR officials have repeatedly refused to denounce Hamas and Hizballah as terrorist groups. Several former CAIR officials have been convicted of various crimes related to jihad terror. CAIR’s co-founder and longtime Board chairman (Omar Ahmad), as well as its chief spokesman (Ibrahim Hooper), have made Islamic supremacist statements about how Islamic law should be imposed in the U.S. (Ahmad denies this, but the original reporter stands by her story.) CAIR chapters frequently distribute pamphlets telling Muslims not to cooperate with law enforcement. CAIR has opposed virtually every anti-terror measure that has been proposed or implemented and has been declared a terror organization by the United Arab Emirates. A CAIR operative recently called for the overthrow of the U.S. government.

Amatul-Wadud, according to the Clarion Project, was as of June 2016 “the general counsel for the Muslims of the Americas, whose spiritual leader is a radical cleric named Sheikh Mubarak Ali Gillani in Pakistan. The organization was previously known as Jamaat ul-Fuqra, when it carried out terrorist attacks in the 1980s and early 1990s. The group is best known for its ‘Islamberg’ headquarters in New York where guerilla training of women has occurred, as seen in this undated footage obtained by the Clarion Project from a law enforcement source. It claims to have 22 “Islamic villages” in 12 states. The Clarion Project identified one such ‘village’ in Texas in 2014. We recently published the heartbreaking testimony of a woman who grew up in these villages in the 1980s.”

“US Rep. Richard Neal, Tahirah Amatul-Wadud make ballot, will square off in Democratic primary,” by Shannon Young, MassLive.com, May 9, 2018 (thanks to Creeping Sharia):

SPRINGFIELD — U.S. Rep. Richard Neal and Springfield attorney Tahirah Amatul-Wadud will both officially appear on the September ballot, setting the stage for a primary showdown — the first for Democrats in the 1st Congressional District in six years.

Secretary of the Commonwealth William Galvin’s office confirmed Wednesday that Neal and Amatul-Wadud had each been certified for the ballot after turning in more than the 2,000 voter signatures, as well as other documents, needed to take part in the Sept. 4 primary.

Neal, who was first elected to Congress in 1988, had filed at least 2,700 certified signatures with the secretary’s office as of May 8 — the deadline for federal and statewide candidates to submit nomination papers to local election officials for signature certification.

Amatul-Wadud, a member of the Massachusetts Commission on the Status of Women and board member for the Massachusetts Council of American-Islamic Relations, in turn, had submitted at least 2,300 certified signatures to the secretary’s office as Wednesday, according to a nomination papers receipt shared by her campaign….

Muslims from Syria caught sneaking across Texas border from Mexico

Border Patrol agents in the Laredo Sector are sounding the alarm after they recently apprehended two Syrian nationals who illegally crossed the border from Mexico into South Texas. The agents say the arrest of the Syrians confirms there is a human smuggling pipeline from countries with connections to terrorism into the U.S.

This is not a new problem. In November 2015, Jihad Watch reported that eight Syrians were caught at the Texas border in Laredo. U.S. Border Patrol Agent Hector Garza stated:

If the cartel-connected smugglers can bring people with good intentions across the border, they can also bring people with bad intentions.

While the so-called “far right” continues to suffer blame for trying to warn Westerners about the global jihad, those who downplay or deny the jihad threat will surely attribute good intentions to these Syrians, as they did in blindly welcoming in anyone and everyone, including jihadists and Islamic State infiltrators, into Europe.

Despite the relentless and ruthless criticism that Trump has received for prioritizing border control, the dangers to North America from illegal immigration continue to mount. Already, about 400 illegals a day are expected to pour into Canada at the Quebec border this summer; they will be resettled in major cities like Toronto.

“Agents Sound Alarm on Syrians Caught Sneaking Across Texas Border,” by Bob Price, Breitbart, May 10, 2018:

Border Patrol agents in the Laredo Sector are sounding the alarm after they recently apprehended two Syrian nationals who illegally crossed the border from Mexico into South Texas. The agents say the arrest of the Syrians confirms there is a human smuggling pipeline from countries with connections to terrorism into the U.S.

“We don’t know the intentions of the two Syrians we caught sneaking across the border into Texas,” U.S. Border Patrol Agent Hector Garza told Breitbart Texas in his capacity as president of the National Border Patrol Council 2455. “What we do know is that if the cartel-connected smugglers can bring people with good intentions across the border, they can also bring people with bad intentions.”

The two Syrian nationals apprehended on May 7, crossed the border in the same part of Laredo as nearly 230 Bangladeshi nationals have been apprehended. Garza explained that all drug and human smuggling in this area is controlled by the Los Zetas cartel.

“Laredo is a prime target for these ruthless smugglers because of our sector’s shortage of manpower and the lack of a physical barrier,” Garza explained in an interview with Breitbart Texas on Thursday. “We have 170 miles of river border with Mexico. Not one mile of that border has a physical barrier. We are wide open for these drug and human smugglers.”…..

Islamic Supremacist Organization complains that ROTC exercise featuring jihadis ‘promotes an image of Muslims as dangerous’

This ridiculous article in UCLA’s student newspaper, The Daily Bruin, reveals the mindset of those who believe that “Islamophobia” is a bigger threat than jihad terror. Does the U.S. face a jihad threat today? Obviously it does. Do many of these jihadis wear traditional Islamic garb and scream “Allahu akbar” when attacking? Once again, that is patently obvious. But a ROTC exercise that features the enemies of U.S. soldiers wearing Islamic garb and screaming “Allahu akbar” is “Islamophobic” and somehow endeavors to “marginalize 3.5 million Americans.”

The article’s author, Omar Said, even claims that “the university cannot expect these students on campus to feel safe or comfortable knowing that all it takes for them to be labeled an enemy combatant is to say an often used phrase or wear an outfit common in their country.”

Really? And when exactly did ROTC or anyone else claim that everyone who wears traditional Islamic garb or says “Allahu akbar” is an “enemy combatant”? Never. Said’s article is of a piece with successful efforts by Islamic advocacy groups in the U.S. to get all mention of Islam and jihad removed from counter-terror training: because not all Muslims are jihad terrorists, it is somehow wrong for the U.S. military to prepare to counter those who are. The end result will be that the U.S. is ignorant and unprepared in the face of the advancing jihad. Is that what Omar Said wants?

“Omar Said: Use of stereotyped Muslim attire in ROTC training perpetuates Islamophobia,” by Omar Said, Daily Bruin, May 10, 2018:

It takes a lot of work to marginalize 3.5 million Americans at once.

But the ROTC did just that when it stereotyped Muslims to portray enemy combatants.

During a training held by UCLA’s and California State University, Fresno’s Army ROTCs in early April, students acting as enemy soldiers in combat simulations wore clothing commonly worn by civilians in Arab countries. The clothing included kufiyyas and iqals, which are better known as the flowing scarves Arab men traditionally wear on their heads.

At one point in the training, Maj. Tyrone Vargas, the executive officer of the battalion and a UCLA assistant adjunct professor of military science, held a rocket-propelled grenade above his head and said “Allahu akbar” in the presence of cadets. Vargas later told The Bruin that this had been a way to teach cadets how they would need to decide whether people approach them as combatants or in celebration.

“Allahu akbar,” which means “God is greater,” is a large part of daily Muslim worship and life, including the formal prayer done five times a day. Imam Omar Suleiman, an adjunct professor of Islamic studies at Southern Methodist University, wrote in a CNN article that the phrase is used to indicate gratitude “when God bestows something upon you that you would have been incapable of attaining were it not for divine benevolence.” Notwithstanding, “Allahu akbar” has become a common element in Islamophobic jokes and stereotypes about terrorists.

ROTC’s cavalier attitude about Islamic ideas is damaging to Muslim Americans, and to the Muslim and Southwest Asian and North African students studying at UCLA. The university cannot expect these students on campus to feel safe or comfortable knowing that all it takes for them to be labeled an enemy combatant is to say an often used phrase or wear an outfit common in their country.

Training future military combatants is one thing; perpetuating discriminatory stereotypes is another. ROTC can certainly try to make amends for its actions during the spring cadet training, but the fact remains that it has only played into the continuing narrative of Islamophobia in the United States.

“This training negligently promotes an image of Muslims as dangerous,” said Marwa Rifahie, a civil rights attorney for the Los Angeles chapter of Council on American-Islamic Relations, in a statement released by CAIR-LA….

New York Times Runs Column by Wife Of Violent Jihadi, Taliban Fighter

Aligned with the jihad force. Would these quislings ever run a column by me, my colleagues or any brave voice for freedom? Not a chance.

NEW YORK TIMES RUNS COLUMN BY WIFE OF RADICAL ISLAMIST, TALIBAN FIGHTER

By Joe Simonson, Daily Caller, May 10, 2018:

The New York Times seems destined to sink Gina Haspel’s chances of becoming CIA director — even if it means running op-eds by the wife of a radical Islamist.

The Gray Lady decided to give one of her pages on Wednesday to Fatima Boudchar, who was jailed by the CIA in 2004. To hear Boudchar tell it, you’d think the U.S. government abducted and tortured a poor pregnant woman in a Bangkok secret prison simply because of her tangential relationship with an anti-Qaddafi freedom fighter.

In reality, Boudchar’s professed ignorance of being a simple woman “from a small town in Morocco” who “hardly thought about the United States” stands in opposition to her marriage to Abdelhakim Belhaj, an Islamist military leader who once fought for the Taliban and has alleged ties with al-Qaeda leaders.

Of course, Belhaj’s name is nowhere to be found in Boudchar’s column — surprisingly (or not, depending on your level of cynicism) The New York Times’ editors didn’t find it necessary to include this fact either.

Boudchar said she underwent brutal torture in the hands of the CIA, such as being brutally assaulted in the stomach despite being halfway through a pregnancy. Her stay with the CIA was brief, however, and she seemed to undergo the most brutality in the hands of the Libyan government.

Despite her moving words, believing Boudchar’s account proves difficult due to her professed ignorance that the U.S. government might have been pursuing her, despite the fact that the Libyan government had an arrest warrant out for her husband in 2002 because he had been accused of running and financing mujahideen fighter camps. Stunningly, the thought that her husband might be up to no good never occurred to her during the years when he traveled across Sudan, Pakistan, Syria and Iran.

None of this stops her from condemning the U.S. government or from implying that Haspel oversaw similar alleged torture in the prisons she ran. Boudchar said she suffered an “injustice,” but never presented evidence that she was wrongly imprisoned.

Like many leftist calls for U.S. apologies, Boudchar said the CIA must come clean of its past sins, and if “America wants to persuade the Muslim world it means us no harm.”

Except it seems clear that Boudchar’s husband meant the West great harm. At the judgement of American, British and Libyan intelligence, she seemed worthy of questioning.

At best, Boudchar turned a blind eye to the evil ideology her husband was promoting and at worst was a willing co-conspirator.

Neither America nor its defense employees owe Boudchar an apology. If she did indeed face abuse in the hands of American interrogators, that is regrettable.

For all the real victims of America’s missteps in the Middle East over the past two decades, one would imagine The New York Times could find a more sympathetic voice. Instead, readers learned once again that the complaints against Haspel’s appointment mostly ring hollow.

UK proposes six-year prison sentence for criticizing Islam

The draft law speaks only about criticizing “religion,” but everyone knows which religion is meant. No one is going to go to prison for criticizing Christianity or Judaism. This is more of Britain’s gallop toward Sharia and ruin.

“UK Proposes Six Year Prison Sentences for Online Posts Against Religion, Transgender,” by Liam Deacon, Breitbart, May 10, 2018:

People promoting “hostility” towards a religion or the transgendered online could get much harsher sentences, of up to six years in jail, especial if they have a large online audience according to new proposals.

The Sentencing Council for England and Wales has drafted changes to public order offences, including anyone perceived as targeting online a “protected characteristics” including “race; sex; disability; age; sexual orientation; religion or belief; pregnancy and maternity; and gender reassignment.”

The most severe punishments will be handed to those “in a position of trust, authority or influence and abuses their position to stir up hatred,” such as political leaders or figureheads and anyone whose offences are “persistent.”

If an “offender was a member of, or was associated with, a group promoting hostility based on race or religion,” their sentence will also be harsher.

The Sentencing Council believes that the use of social media, YouTube, and other “websites” to stir hatred is a growing problem – despite the number of prosecutions remain relatively low.

“Volumes of these offences are extremely low and there have been no offenders sentenced for some offences,” the Sentencing Council said.

“However, given the recent social climate and an enhanced focus on this type of offending, the council considers it would be useful for sentencers to be equipped with guidance on sentencing these offences,” they continue.

Adding: “Among the cases analysed there were a number of ‘hate speech’ type offences, where inflammatory speeches were given by influential figures with the intention of stirring up racial hatred.

“Other cases involved publication on YouTube of content inciting serious violence towards particular racial or religious groups, websites being published including abusive and insulting content, with some activity continuing over a long period of time and intended to reach global audiences.”…

Muslim woman on bus slashes two passengers’ throats, prays to Allah when questioned by police

Brietta Brown sounds as if she could be legitimately mentally ill, unless she was practicing a bit of the old “war is deceit” game, but in any case, apparently somewhere along the way she picked up the instructions: “When you meet the unbelievers, strike the necks…” (Qur’an 47:4)

Brietta Brown

“Police report describes footage of woman slashing Hadley bus passengers’ throats,” by Diane Lederman, MassLive, May 4, 2018:

HADLEY – After the woman charged with slashing two passengers and the driver of a Pioneer Valley Transit Authority bus was handcuffed and read her rights, she apologized.

“I’m so sorry, I don’t know what came over me,” Brietta Brown said, according to the arrest report. “Please apologize to them for me, will they survive? I hope Allah will forgive me.”

The Republican is working to find passengers who were onboard the bus Wednesday afternoon when two people were slashed by a knife-wielding woman.

The arrest report, written by Hadley Police Officer Thomas Chabot, also describes surveillance video from the bus, which was heading east on Route 9 when the attack occurred.

The video shows Brown sitting calmly after boarding the bus. She was seated on the passenger side of the bus behind the victims, who were sitting together. “At no point in time was there any interaction between them prior to the attack,” Chabot wrote.

Brown could be seen on the footage removing the knife from her pocket and unsheathing it. She then grabbed a female “her by the head … and made a left to right slice to the victim’s neck.”

She then attacked the male after he stood up reacting to the assault. She “made multiple slashing motions” and cut him at least once, according to Chabot’s report.

A woman who allegedly slashed two people’s throats on a PVTA bus Wednesday was ordered held without right to bail Thursday pending a dangerousness hearing.

Witnesses told police “with some variance that Brown looked like she was about to say hi to the two indented victims when she grabbed each by the head and sliced at there (sic) throats.”

Police said passengers and the bus driver intervened and subdued Brown.

“In the scuffle as she was being subdued she also cut the bus drivers (sic) hand with the knife as he attempted to control her,” Chabot wrote.

The driver suffered chest pains following the incident. He and the other victims were taken to Cooley Dickinson Hospital in Northampton.

Afterward, while Brown was in Chabot’s cruiser, “she began praying to ALLAH, (and) after arriving at the station she continued to pray and would not break her concentration to speak with any officers.”

Brown would not speak to police during the booking process or “acknowledge our presence and would not answer any of our questions, and would not stop praying.” Officers placed her in a cell until she would comply.

Her behavior became more erratic, Chabot wrote. “She began to drink toilet water, and asked multiple officers to shoot her in the head and referred to herself in the third person.”

Officers ultimately called the Amherst Fire Department to take her to Cooley Dickinson Hospital in Northampton for a mental health evaluation….

John Kerry meeting with Iran’s Foreign Minister to sabotage Trump’s efforts to scrap the Iran nuke deal

Does this not place Kerry in violation of federal law? The Logan Act forbids unauthorized people to engage in negotiations with foreign governments that are involved in disputes with the United States. The Logan Act’s intention is to prevent unauthorized negotiations from undermining the position of the U.S. government. Isn’t that exactly what Kerry is doing? Shouldn’t he be arrested and prosecuted?

Why is the Iran deal so bad? Find out all the shocking details in my book The Complete Infidel’s Guide to Iran.

“Kerry quietly seeking to salvage Iran deal he helped craft,” by Matt Viser, Boston Globe, May 4, 2018 (thanks to Dave):

WASHINGTON — John Kerry’s bid to save one of his most significant accomplishments as secretary of state took him to New York on a Sunday afternoon two weeks ago, where, more than a year after he left office, he engaged in some unusual shadow diplomacy with a top-ranking Iranian official.

He sat down at the United Nations with Foreign Minister Javad Zarif to discuss ways of preserving the pact limiting Iran’s nuclear weapons program. It was the second time in about two months that the two had met to strategize over salvaging a deal they spent years negotiating during the Obama administration, according to a person briefed on the meetings.

With the Iran deal facing its gravest threat since it was signed in 2015, Kerry has been on an aggressive yet stealthy mission to preserve it, using his deep lists of contacts gleaned during his time as the top US diplomat to try to apply pressure on the Trump administration from the outside. President Trump, who has consistently criticized the pact and campaigned in 2016 on scuttling it, faces a May 12 deadline to decide whether to continue abiding by its terms.

Kerry also met last month with German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier, and he’s been on the phone with top European Union official Federica Mogherini, according to the source, who spoke on the condition of anonymity to reveal the private meetings. Kerry has also met with French President Emmanuel Macron in both Paris and New York, conversing over the details of sanctions and regional nuclear threats in both French and English.

The rare moves by a former secretary of state highlight the stakes for Kerry personally, as well as for other Obama-era diplomats who are dismayed by what they see as Trump’s disruptive approach to diplomacy, and who view the Iran nuclear deal as a factor for stability in the Middle East and for global nuclear nonproliferation. The pact, which came after a marathon negotiating session in Vienna that involved Iran and six world powers, lifted sanctions in return for Iran stopping its pursuit of nuclear weapons.

“It is unusual for a former secretary of state to engage in foreign policy like this, as an actual diplomat and quasi-negotiator,” said Michael O’Hanlon, a foreign policy expert at the Brookings Institution. “Of course, former secretaries of state often remain quite engaged with foreign leaders, as they should, but it’s rarely so issue-specific, especially when they have just left office.”…
